LOUD PRIMAL SCREAM !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Going to a School for Young Ladies (it didn't take) where the headmistress had been Capn of the Brit Wimin's Cricket team, I learnt at an early age how to duck a googly and as a maiden got bowled over often. (However, never yet by a haggis huntin Scotsman in a kilt) .. Then along came a cricket umpire.. called Brian ... and scored a boundary
Ah the memories the memories the memories... marshmallow men willow wallopping... arghghghghghghghghghhghghhhh

Gotta run out for a bit right now, Jives, but am looking forward to a nice gentle Sunday arvo - finding out what make an interesting bloke like you tick... grin... Better line me up a few coldies to ease the journey! I've just come in from a run, and it must be close to a hundred degrees outside. I'm sweating fit to meltl!!! Ooops I forgot - well brought up young ladies don't sweat, we just glow... Big glow here!!!
(pam wanders off meditating deeply on whether the "well brought up young lady" claim puts her in breach of the aussie trade practices act)

Question of the day..why do they call it OZ? Are you ruled by a benevolent wizard? Are your road paved with yellow bricks?

G'day Marie. Why Oz? Oz-stralia would be far too obvious. It's probably more because we're sort of over the rainbow, and when I click my fifteen-inch stiletto'd heels, munchkins jump, tin men crumble, totos fly and all wicked witches melt the heck right outta there. I hope that answers your question!!!
Interesting this thread got bumped! grin.

Hi Snoozie and Hammy. It's a lovely day here. Hope it is there too. I think you should both go outside, smell a few roses if possible, breathe deeply, look at the sunshine or starshine, dance, sing, frolic. And live this day as fully as you can!

Thanks Kaz, Odie, Peg. The thread has been much massacreed. Three or four bright sparks from former FG life must have had all their posts deleted when they voluntarily or otherwise exited the Garden.
But I do remember the thrill, yes thrill is the word, of being slowly accepted in all my crazy spirality. People actually asked if they could add me to their friend list and stuff like that. Each time, I danced a little jig of pure joy. Really. I was a total innocent.
It took me at least a month to realise that if I was one person's friend, I could not be someone else's or vice versa. Pity that. Because I was new and just wanted to take everyone as I found them, without having to read the screeds of pmails which were sent to me explaining who had done what to whom, who was being intimate with whom, and all that jazz. (Some of it very interesting).
FG at that time must have been a veritable Peyton Place.
Are we still like this???? Are we all having steamy cyber sex with each other??? Not me.. that was so 1980s!! Grin.
From my dim perception of some of the undercurrents, I understand there is still some behind the scenes scurrying etc... but I'm too blonde to get most of it - which is just as well probably because I'm a peaceable person mostly.
And yeah, still really a kid. (Though MJ sort of gave not growing up a bad name, may he rest in peace).

Yes, I think it was some kind of show, Kaz - presumably full of naughty behaviour. The expression still exists though.
These days I'm also the last to hear any goss - and mostly can't join up the dots when I do anyway. Good way to be, probably. Or is is just 'To the pure all things are pure"???? :sneaky:
