I need to fill up, I'm going to my in-laws tomorrow to start the big trip. But their cooking, well, I'm not used to Russian food and all, and end up either eating nothing for a few days or getting a belly ache. I don't want to be sick when I get to L.A., so I'll fill up on pie right now. :)

Can't say that I ever tried Russian food. Not good if it makes you sick. Maybe you should take something along that you can eat instead of going without anything. :-3 Be safe traveling Chonsigirl! :-6

as Mustang and Kathy said, take something with you, and put it in your luggage.

It must be so hard to live that way, can you fill up on bread or rolls if they serve those?

Have a good trip and enjoy that little man of yours and this time, bring us back some pics.

I'd like to learn the Mexican Spanish since we have so many Mexicans living and working in our area.

Rosetta Stone is too expensive for me now, so I've found a free online site if anyone wishes to learn Spanish.

So far, it looks good, especially since the pronounciations of words are voice activated.

Here's a link....

Oh Betty,

We had the same problem with one of our 3rd graders. No matter how hard our nurse tried to educate the child's mom about nits, she wouldn't listen. DYFS (Division of youth and family services) had to be called in to check out the home situation.

My class was flipping out about getting nits. So, we discussed the issue and how to prevent getting the nits. Worked out well....no other 3rd grader got the buggers and the child's home is being investigated. Now, the child's family that keeps getting nits, is finally getting help.

It's truly awful to experience this as you know. Kids need to know how to protect themselves....don't share anything...combs, hairbands, headphones, clothes....yada...yada...

Why did my artistic daughter spray this stinky stuff on her paintings right now! I have to go upstairs and open the windows, it's 98 degrees out there, all the cool air will be lost!

I think it is some acrylic spray, it is thick in the air even downstairs. My son will be home soon, he has asthma, I hope he runs to his room and shuts the door-the windows are open, and it is heating up now. (ah artists, she was clueless when I asked her not to spray anymore, "Why Mom?" as I fling open the window)

Yuchy weather, worse tomorrow.

It is a hot month this year. I'm glad to hear you got freon and using your air. Much more comfortable communting from one point to another. With the TKD building having air too, you should stay cool enough to participate. Drink penty of water!

Yes, that is me. I'm afraid what it will cost to fix the AC. Maybe the summer school money can go to fix it. I think my husband needs the cool air more than me. I will know in a few weeks-maybe when I come home and his cheeks are pink/red, I know he is snitching food. But I and the doctors are thinking, it's not blood sugar. It could be the heat affecting something else.

My back yard is beautiful with everything green and the flowers blooming. My waterfall I built is babbling & the birds are singing. The problem is that it's 93 degrees and so doggone humid I'd need gills to sit outside and enjoy it!

We took our time finding the right contractor. I'm a little frustrated waiting for them to get the approvals. But don't forget, this is south Texas. We can enjoy that deck a lot later into the year, maybe even Thanksgiving. :-6

Last day of summer school for me, 3 weeks more of freedom until we have to go back. I'm going to the Archives for research, hot dog, my once a year trips into DC. I love going on the train like the commuters, and feel sorry for those who must do it everyday to go to work.
