My son is getting married in 3 weeks. This is the bride and bridegrooms stag / hen weekend and i have little Lewis tonight and tomorrow AM. He is now 7 months old, has 1 tooth and is as bright as a button. Took these pictures a couple of hours ago. he is fast asleep now and I doubt I'll hear a peep from him until 7am tomorrow....fingers crossed

The picture where he's lying down makes him look a bit of a roly poly...it's just the angle of the camera....I'm useless taking photos

What a very cute baby Lewis is!! :-4 Aren't they all great? Rick's 2 year old step-grandson called him "popky the other day. We only figure that he was trying to either say "pops" for grandpop..or my hubby nickname of Rocky

Enjoy him now, they grow soooo fast it's scary! We just babysat our 2-3/4 year old Grandson for the past week. It just seems like yesterday that he was as old as your cutie Lewis! You blink, & they're 2, blink again & they're 5. Why our Granddaughter just turned "12" last week, seemed like just last month she was 5!

My eldest grandaughter is nearly 16...those 16 years have just flown by.

I have a feeling that once i retire I will be seeing Lewis quite a lot...I've already been sounded out for baby minding duties.

Ack...the bikini contest did not turn out as Hooters had hoped, which is VERY odd. We were over-staffed, and anyone who has ever worked in a bar knows that if you're prepared with a large staff, you don't have enough customers to go around. If you're missing people, you get slammed. We had 4 girls on last night, (normally we'd have 2) and I got cut at midnight, as did a waitress. But, I had the first 3 hours all by myself so I did ok. Not what I'd hoped, but better than nothing considering I normally don't work Wednesdays at all.

There was one fight, which my 81 year old boss broke up herself. Damn, that is one tough old broad. I went to back her up, and she kind of raised an eyebrow at me and said, "Don't you have customers to deal with?" An impressive woman, that one.

I'm happy I've only got 3 hrs of work to go before a long weekend

I'm fed up that it's raining again, and cold , and miserable.

I'm happy that we've had so much rain that the car doesn't need washing



I need to get a plan of action together for the weekend otherwise it will be gone in a flash ....

I'm trying to make myself happy, but it's just rain rain rain. Hope it clears up for the half term otherwise it's going to be a very long week.

Betty Boop..I just want to say I love the Betty in your sig line. I am a big Betty Boop fan, and have a couple DVD's of her cartoons...and plan to eventually have them all.:-6

There is often comments about rude apathetic youngsters serving in shops, but yesterday i was served by a young lady that was refreshingly different.

I went in a shop called 'Lush' that sells 'chunks' of soap, bath products etc. I went in to buy some perfume called 'Karma'



The young lady that served me had piercings in her lips, nose and eyebrows and on her arms she had some beautiful tattoos of gothic castles...really delicately done. She was a tiny, slim young lady and a pleasure to talk to.....anyway, to cut a long story short, after she'd served me and i was about to leave the shop she said " enjoy smelling gorgeous" ...she had put a smile on my face that lasted all day. :-6

Sunny inside ad out here today, I got a new title and a raise whoot whoot I am loving it. They said "we realized how much you do here while you were away so decided you needed more money" Now how cool is that, and with the raise I got a few more jobs added to my list which is great cause it ties things together better. weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee happy me.

Every morning when I drive to my Moms, I end up in a queue at a busy junction. Just before you get to it there's a shop with 3 large Betty Boop figures in the window, each one abot 5ft tall.

Always makes me think of my buddy in Penzance without fail.

Awww not quite a reward for a vacation, just a bit of an eye opener to the bosses who had to do my job while I was out. Tis great to be appreciated, nice thing about my job, they are always willing to offer up a "well done" to everyone regularly and that alone says it all.

They should appreciate you, Minks! Make them work harder on your next vacation!
