If that leaves a tie - I think it does - and I'll be offline for some hours, then should a tie-break be required it's for Andy Kim's "Rock me gently".

That is cruel cruel cruel.

Stevie Wonder is my all time god, Songs in the Key of Life is probably my all time favourite album, and Thank you for the music is one of my choices, I am torn in two.

Ok let me call it for Abba this time......................but only for the purposes of this thread.......ok?

Wow, Ahso! you really come up with interesting combinations. The Tears for Fears song is really fun, but Levon is so rich & complex that I must go with Elton here.

Everybody Wants To Rule The World! I like a lot of Elton John's music, just not crazy about this one. EWTRTW is Tears Of Fears only real claim to fame, and it's a good enough tune to get my vote.

That's 4 to 3 by my count. AFTR hasn't voted, I'll give her a little longer.

When I first went to Phoenix with my best friend, Elmer Reeves, we wanted to go to a "Big City Bar." Someone told us that the "Devil House" was the place to be for twenty somethings. It was located across a dry river bottom from Sun Devil Stadium and ASU so it was definitely a college bar. We got their about 5:00 pm, since we had pulled into town early. We were the first there. The place was the size of a large aircraft hangar, with a massive dance floor and long heavy wooden tables all around it. As we sat there, literally hundreds of college students began to file in. Strangely, there was very little talking, and what there was was whispered and subdued. "What kind of a bar is this?" we wondered, incredulous.

Then...at exactly 6:00pm, as the sun set, the lights suddenly went out, big projection screens and huge American flags unrolled down each wall and everyone stood up and placed their hands over their hearts! A beautiful montage began to play as the crowd recited the star spangled banner, followed by the pledge of allegiance. We were dumbfounded!

After the last sound died out, there was a moment of silence and near total blackness, then...strobes, lasers, and fog rolled out and massive speakers blasted "Everybody Wants to Rule the World." The crowd let out a roar and piled onto the dance floor, everyone grabbing partners, girls even grabbed the two stupefied hicks from the little town..us. I looked at Elmer with an ear to ear grin and we both said the same thing at the same time, "This looks like a pretty good bar!!"

For me, it will always be "Everybody Wants to Rule the World!!"

That bar had 50 cent monster beers and 25 cent food too..totally righteous!
