Well I just got in from work.......didn't do to bad today. I had a lovely night on here last night chatting to some other members on Skype and thankyou to those special people..............you know who you are.

Good chatting earlier Helen oh and Kaz you changed yer mobile number or is it just me you wont let get through pmsl.

I bought some nice old bits today at the booty that I will put back for an Antique Fair or something. Mind you it don't look like I will be working tomorrow:-5 due to the fact it looks like rain...........every flipping May bank holiday is the same!!!!:wah:

Anyway Kaz......I wont be out done mate so I gotta give hugs as well lol

I'm being nagged stupid by a certain party to add something on this thread. Sorry I've not been here for a while, but circumstances at home proved a bit awkward for me.

When I was a little tot, my father made a gate to go across a garden path which passed between two fairly high stone walls which bordered a patio area at the back of my grandparents country bungalow. This was in fact the only route of escape that was available to me, because the stone walling was too high for me to climb over. My two older brothers were old enough to be aware of various dangers that may confront them should they venture out of the garden and into the country lane, and besides that the garden was so big in area, that they had no desire to wander out. But I, however, was of an insatiably curious nature (I haven't changed that much either) and my parents being very aware of this decided to put a reasonably substantial gate in the gap to prevent me from wandering and causing them worry. About an hour after the gate had been successfully installed and secured by a bolt which only somebody of over six years old could reach to undo, I was seen wandering in the orchard, the other side of the gate ! But the gate was still closed and bolted ! I was retrieved and I was 'ticked off' and replaced on the patio. My parents returned inside the bungalow and watched me through the net-curtained window. Well I was not tall enough to reach over for the bolt, but my toes could reach the top of the gate! Apparently where ever I could get my toes, the rest of me could and would surely follow ! My father fixed another piece of wood to the top of the gate. That was me secured. I never did capitalise on this strange ability, as I got older, because nobody seemed to see any potential in it, and I certainly didn't realise that I had a particular agility - not till it was way too late to do anything about it.:yh_sad

The other 'safety' measure used by my parents and grandparents was regarding the fish pond which was out of view from the bungalow hidden well by large bulky bushes. If any of us children fell in nobody would see and we could drown, so we were all told that the area beyond the bushes was haunted. None of us, not even my older brothers ventured beyond those bushes ever !:eek:

Whether that measure would work with todays children I wouldn't know, but it may be interesting to find out !:sneaky:

Ah me lovely Oz mate .....one of the first I met when I got my pc Look Ali all I can say is I will def be here Wednesday morning.....my time 9am.....can you be about here or on msn???
