I am the LEAST creative, artsy person on the planet! :(

Would someone please draw a BUG on one of their flowers and say it's me? I'll owe you BIG TIME!

Floppy can advise you best, Venus. Send her a PM. Remember our post takes a couple of weeks. Although for a few quid more, you can use Airsure for a speedier service.

Nothing really spectacular to report today. I haven't been to the hospital, with my own child kind of feverish and coughing. I wasn't going to risk it. But Mamarider said she had a coherent conversation with her. Physical therapist has been in a few times, and the doctors will have a meeting (gads, she has a lot of doctors) and make some decisions early Monday.

She's received a few cards, with a couple of names I recognize from here. I've been retrieving her mail, so I see everything that comes in. Mamarider will get cards that are sent directly to the hospital.

I won't be back at the hospital till Monday; this was a weekend for me to have my son, and he's rather young and VERY impressionable, not to mention very close to his Auntie Criss, so I don't want him seeing her this way. He'll have nightmares for weeks. So, no direct updates from me for another day. But you'll get 'em as soon as I have 'em.

Mamarider says that the pain meds make her loopy...she's really quite funny a few minutes after a shot into the IV. (Do Roman paramedics call IVs "fours"? I've always wanted to know). But whenever we mention FG, she says to tell you all that she misses you, and will be back soon.

Luv 'n' hugs,

Dawn/rinna/sis-rider ;)

Thanks for the info Dawn, any news is appreciated. You're very wise not to let your son see his auntie that way, it most likely would leave bad impressions as you said. Hope he gets over his cold real soon too! A loopy BR, now that would be a sight to see! :) Jon

Since I am not artistic enough to create flowers, I did the next best thing. While at the store this morning getting my Sunday paper and a few things for dinner I came across a small book titled "Fresh Cut Flowers for a friend. It is a book of quotes and stuff about friendship. So I thought, what the heck. Flowers from the garden from me too. Going to mail it out tomorrow. Between you and me, I want to read through it a bit.

Here are a couple of the entries from it:

Indeed we do not really live unless we have friends surrounding us like a firm wall against the winds of the world. Charles Hanson Towne

Maybe the one good thing in a difficult day is finding out how much we need out friends.

When we first met, I knew we would be perfect friends. We're exactly the opposite in so many ways. We compliment each other because of it.

Well gang

I finished my first flower for Criss :)

It's very colorful and has sparkles and glitter with a couple of ribbons on it.

I have to go to the post office to find an envelope big enough so I won't have to fold it up.

It was fun! I think I'll send a flower every week . . . so she'll be getting a 'fresh' delivery on a regular basis :-6

I have a stack of cards...OK, not a stack, 3 cards, and that book I mentioned a couple of posts back. Was going to send everything over a span of time, but I figured, what the heck. I am sending everything at once. Some to the hospital, and some stuff to the home address. The book is going to the home address...I know her sis is picking up mail there.

Could anyone make a collage of FG members photos ? Criss would then be able to put faces to the flowers and cards.
