Hi all:D thanks for concern for my dad:-4 I have been with him all afternoon today, he is more or less the same really, but we talked about football of course, he pinched another one of my lighters, and we had an exciting adventure to the loo and back:D we have had our tea, spag bol, and washed up so im free now for a good while:D

well the doc said should be no more than two weeks now:Dhopefully they can make a difference. I have a brother and two sisters who also go there sometimes as well,, more to let my mam get out for a while as well as he cant be left on his own now.

I have a friend here on the FG who just put her mom in a nursing home. Alzhiemer's and her sibs aren't much help on that front.

Well one or two of mine could be more help actually:wah:but i rallied em round just recently and so far they are not doing too badly:rolleyes: ew are all gonna gte realy old one day (hopefully:sneaky:) so i just hope someone is prepared to put in some time for me if and when its needed

I remember when my dear MIL was so sick years ago and the entire family rallied behind her and everybody took turns taking care of her. Well, of course, when she passed on, all hell broke loose over the will. It was then that my dear hubby saw the ugly side of his sibs. It was not pretty.

Yea that can happen, its sad really when people get caught up in material things,,, they dont matter

The b*tch is I had seen it for years. Their behaviour towards me. They are not too bad now but I wouldn't trust any of them to save my life.

No, we really can't but my hubby has my parents and family who love him to death despite his misdeeds. They have learned to look over that and plus he is good dad and hubby.

Thats good to hear, my family also think a lot of my hubs and he helps out as much as we all do too:Dhe is very family oreintated, which is good:D

The weird thing is his family talks to my daughter who is 18 but play games with me. So, after 10 yrs of that cr*p, I really have nothing in common with them except small talk. Actually, and this is gonna sound mean, but when MIL died so did the family get together's with hubby's family. Except of course, for the annual little party one of them throws where I'm forced to go. and have to endure their ignoring me. It's even weirder that some of their inlaws are the people I end up chatting with.

Its sily really when you could all just try to get along and have fun,,,, but thats the way people are sometimes,,, nowt you can do:(MY MIL will be a big miss at any family do's now as she was always the life and soul:D

So was my MIL, the life & soul of the party and everyone loved her. But at the same time she raised a nest of vipers.
