I've no idea how it was typed like that, what I thought I typed is "childhood". I'll concede I often type looking at the keyboard but I would normally check my spelling before clicking submit.

There's typos that come from hitting the wrong keys and there's typos that come from the brain mis-spelling a sound into a word. Childhard is the latter. I mis-spell sounds more often than I used to but I usually clear them up before they get sent.

Anyway, childhood as in the years of a person's minority. These days perhaps the word has fallen out of use but I think we still refer to children as minors.
