Yea i know weird innit

I was once at a zoo and some kids were annoying a very large and very old Chimpanzee,, they can grow quite big and be very strong can chimps,,, anyway they were annoying it so that it would charge at them and it was throwing sticks etc at them untill their "carers" eventually told them to stop that and took them away,,, i looked at him,,, he was sat hunched up quite near the front of the fencing,,, and i thought oh he looks sad,, another lady there was just as mad as me about the kids and felt sorry for hm ,, she got as close as he could leaning over the barrier,, and extended her hand as far as she could so it was just practically touching the fence,, the Chimp looked at her for a while,, then poked one of his long fingers through the fence and gently touched her hand,,, they stayed like that for about 30 seconds,,, It was amazing to watch ,,, and his eyes omg so human...

Great shots Peter I now know what the front of the viewing area looks like from the Gorilla's vantage point. As I suspected JOCK main goal daily is food, waiting for food, where is the food is, and sleep. Also nice to see the entire windowed enclosure and the HUT.
Thank you,

It's amazing that we, the most intelligent [sic] race on this planet, still have trouble explaining a function that is vital to the survival of the species.

JOCK is trying to get comfortable for the night. They need to make him his own HUGE bed with tons of whatever that nesting stuff they use to make beds with. His head never looks comfortable to me for sleeping.

Just to let the gang know that I have applied for a part-time job at the zoo. I am so lucky that the Gorilla's are a few short miles from my home and I can see Jock and Co any time I like.
Sadly there were no vacancies working with the Gorilla's but I have applied to demonstarte small animals and insects to children in one of their learning centres which includes snakes and spiders.
I will let you know how it goes. :-6:-6:-6

I know in my observations of him that is his entire day waiting for food, which door it will come in through and how fast can he get to it. He will sit looking at all the spots waiting, waiting, then he jumps down swoops up food and eats it, then swoops down gets more. I saw his try to get something out of the babies hand today has the baby ran past him, he missed.:wah:
