Maybe we should start a thread about "hash" so we no longer *re-hash* this subject.

I believe I detect a hint of jealousy. Even if that's not the case, there are plenty of other threads that could be considered as a "re-hash." Why single this one out?
P.S. Sojourner, I'm with you on that all the way. Ever had a hash omlette? (Corned beef or roast beef, that is)

I've had it as an open-faced omlette served in a casserole dish. The hash was spread evenly over the omeltte after it was first fried in a pan, then they put shredded cheddar cheese on top and melted that. It was different, but awesome.

I think you are really going to like it. As far as the "additives," have you ever heard of "MoHotta - MoBetta" mail order company? They've got some outrageous extras that might even be good with chipped beef.

Nope, never heard of it. If I googled it, would I find that company? :-3
I like chipped beef, in a cream sauce too. Like it over buttered toast.
Am excited about trying that hash omelet. New food dishes interest me.

You should get it on the web. They sale items via the internet. If you don't get it on the web, let me know and I can dig up an address for you. They specialize in hot sauces and related things. I though it would be right up your alley, so to speak. I'm partial to buttermilk biscuits with my chipped beef and gravy. I hope that hash omelet works out good for you. Enjoy!!!! :yh_hugs

I think SCT was making me a gift batch of Stroganoff and drank too much of the Brugandy (or ate too many "special" mushrooms). Thanks for the thought, SCT, even though you ended up cross-eyed.

Maybe you got overtaken by the "Love of ChiptBeef" in your Stroganoff preperation. You are forgiven, cause anybody can fall off the wagon if the sideboards aren't on.

Tell me about that, I lost my brother two years ago come April 25TH due to falling off sideboards. (my father died 31 days later, I'm certain the whole ordeal with my brother contributed greatlyto my fathers passing ) so I am strong in my resolve not to ride in faulty wagons.......

How about a pizza omelet? Pepperoni, mushroom and mozzerella cheese on the inside (or your choice of filling), topped with a little warm Italian sauce. If you like ketchup on your eggs, you'll love that one. :yh_bigsmi

I had my first one years ago in Florida. It sounded so different I had to try it. I'm very glad I did. One of the people I was eating with ordered a beer with his, but I couldn't go that far. I make one every once in awhile.
