Oh, I feel soooo badly that we couldn't watch the 2009 Perseid meteor shower as it was too bloody cloudy to see anything. Scientist stated that it was the best meteor shower in decades.... ~~~~~sigh~~~~~ for missing it.



The meteors peaked on Aug. 12 & 13th, but I'm going to sit out tonight a few times to see if any are still around... Think I'll go out after sunset and then again around 1 AM and 4 AM....



Here's where I'll be sitting smoking a wee, sweet tipper cigarello (not inhaling) and having a pinot noir or 2:D;)

Yeah, it ended up staying pretty east of us. We're only getting high winds now and lots of rain headed in tonight. Possible flooding but that I can handle.

He's in Iraq until November. I'm torn about asking him because he wouldn't be able to do anything about it if something did happen, anyway. Sounds like it wasn't all that much though.
