evenin all,

had a pretty good weekend til just now, my little cockateil has just died in my hands.

alright, i know its just a scraggy old bird to some folk but nine years is a long time to have a cheeky,noisey little soul like that and its going to be a quiet old place without her. :-1

its surprizing how a little bird like that can hold a big bit of your heart. she didnt talk or do tricks, just shreiked along to tv ads that caught her fancy but yesterday she actually wolf whistled for the first time !! she was reasonably ok when i got home but just suddenly faded, i like to think she waited for me so she wasnt on her own.

now on a better note, my daughter is home, she has to have a biopsy on the lump but they dont think its anything major and as shes just had that op AND given birth, they didnt want to pull her about too much just yet.

I can thoroughly recommend The Rose, it is beautifully sung by Carol as are the rest of the songs she has recorded, in my opinion far better than some of the so called singing some think they can do these days.

I had singing and piano lessons when I was much younger and have sung in many big choirs and have also enjoyed singing my solo's, so I have learned a lot over the years and can still pick out a voice that is good and in my opinion Carol has one of those voices.

I have to take BooBoo to the vet today.........she has a lump the size of an egg and it dont look good.Shes a dear little dog............hope she wont suffer and be in to much distress at the vets. morning guys,

not so nice here this morning, a lot colder and and overcast and the first time for months i've had to wear a proper coat to take the dog out

just put the birds cage away and i was right, the silence is deafening. im still a bit sniffy

carol, i hope everything goes alright at the vets for you and your little dog, it goes from enjoyment in having them to total ruddy heartbreak dont it ??

To bloody true Helen but we must never forget the years of happiness that pet had and you as its owner had also. I have never forget any dog I have owned and each one will always have a place in my heart.Helen will you get another bird?I know its early days but you have so much love to give and although it wont take the place of your one you lost it does help the hurt you are going through just now........take care babexx

hi again,

if i ever get out of this bloody place, i will probably get another one, she was a birthday pressie from my daughter which made it harder. i've had budgies, zebra finches and once looked after a senegal parrot for barrie's son for a couple of years, evil,foul mouthed killin machine he was !! ( the bird wasnt much better !!:wah: )

i couldnt let her out to fly around very often, unless i was away, cos of the dog, so really it wouldnt be fair to get another one now. after all, its a springers job to chase birds so i couldnt expect him to leave her alone but he never went near the cage.

oh well, back to bloody work in a mo, looks like i've got yesterdays clearing up to do before i start me own job, have to work twice as hard before and after i go off for the weekend, its hardly worth it, just to get one day off :-5

she was a bit upset cos he ignored it.............

dont know what she expected really, it was pink with little red bows on it and it squeeked !!

Fanks Helen ..............well it don't look to good for little BooBoo. She has breast cancer and one that is very fast growing.She goes in Wednesday and they will remove it and to see if the cancer has spread. If it has.................well we will cross that bridge when we know. In the meantime we have to make her life as happy as we can.I dont how much longer she has left with us and the vet don't at this stage but she has to be given the chance of life and I will do everything in my power to keep her happy,safe and painless until her time to join her little mates comes.Heres a picture I just took of her....the others I did with another phone that Chris gave me and I cant bluetooth them to my laptop for some reason...I will have to sort it out with Chris. Hope you are all okxxxSORRY I CANT DOWNLOAD IT HERE FOR SOME REASON....DUNNO WHY AS ITS ONLY A PHONE ONE AND ALL ME OTHERS HAVE COME OUT OK IN THE PAST!!!!:-5
