I'm always puzzled that some people think the left-hand diagram can't be applied to religions.

And I fear I know very little about the Book of Mormon and only slightly more about Hindu Mythology. They're a rum bag some days.

Franklin Pierce apparently is one of those few Presidents who failed to gain his own party's nomination for a second term, despite asking for it.

It's one day at a time. You've just under three weeks to get your eye in before May.

The scorecard gets reset at the start of each month. You can't win April because you missed the first third of the month but you can take a few swings of the racket and warm up ready for the next match. Bookmarking the page helps, too.

If I'd gone with my first instincts on the 2 I missed I would have scored a ten. I can see it all now, it's all downhill from here.

Corrected to amend that statement which sounded conceited. I meant to say my scores would plummet downward from now on. I must remember to proof read before posting.

Yes, quite so. That's very humourous. I really need an assist on your phrases. I think a Yank could get into trouble ( big time) by treading into the realm of colloquialisim without proper tutelage. I am trying to learn by watching English movies. At the moment, Major Barbara, based on the play by George Bernard Shaw is playing.

I can't believe the ones I missed! Well, yeah, one I plain didn't know. Apparently there were 3. At least I learned not to try to look things up in the dictionary like I did yesterday & then couldn't find the answers. This thing is timed isn't it? Are there rules?

It is not only colloquialisms, many words are used for different meanings.

Of course right now I can't remember any.......but for instance we wear pants under our trousers, you wear trousers and call them pants.
