Made dinner for my friend & her family last evening. I made penne pasta with chicken & broccoli. It was delicious!! Then, she forgot to give me some leftovers when I left! So I just ate mac & cheese for lunch today.

my hubby does most of the cooking but he started a new contract in Manchester today so was gonna be home late so I treated him to:

slow pot roasted lamb in minty lamb gravy

buttery mash potato

brussel sprouts

carrots

cabbage

yorkshire puds...

Smokie history

An smokie is a haddock that has been smoked over hardwood until it takes on a beautiful burnished gold colour and a full, smoky flavour. Well we had rabbit stew the other night and cod last night, brought from Newfoundland, I enjoyed it. I've never cooked rabbit before although eaten it when I was younger. It was very good..
