I'm making this recipe for Sunday....it is to die for...gorgeous:-6





FRENCH TOAST to die for:-6



1&1/2 cup packed brown sugar

3/4 c butter

1/4 c and 2 tbls light corn syrup

10 (3/4" thick) slices of French bread

4 large eggs....no bigger or smaller

2 & 1/2 c. milk

1 tbls vanilla

1/2 tsp salt

3 tbls sugar

1 & 1/2 tsp cinnamon

1 & 1/2 c. melted butter



Preheat oven to 350 degrees....



* Combine 1st 3 ingredients in a saucepan.

* stir constantly 5 min.

* pour syrup into greased 13x9x2 " pan

* arrange bread in pan

* combine eggs, milk, vanilla and salt

* pour over bread and chill at least for 8 hours.

* mix the sugar, cinammon and sprinkle over bread

*drizzle butter over bread and bake for 45-50 minutes in a 350 degree oven.

I have to get up get dressed walk downstairs put my coat on walk down more stairs go in the garage get in my car start the car open the garage door drive to the store stop at some red lights park get out walk across the parking lot go in the store figure out where the coffee makers are walk there pick one out go to the line pay for it and do everything in reverse.

I might as well just take cyanide.

Yeah, well I made 12 cups this morning and discovered that no one had put the dishwasher on so no coffee cups & we ran out of milk. Go get the Cuisinart coffee maker...it lasts forever.

I had a Cuisinart. It was gurgling so I put cleaner in there but no water is coming out.

I went to 2 stores last night but they were closed !

I am coffeeless.
