I haven't had bacon and egg for months and months and I love it !!! The smell of cooking bacon upsets my son -- he's a strict vegetarian and he always says that pigs are very intelligent. Trouble is I love the smell of bacon being grilled in the open air, when the aroma filters gently across the grass and permeates my sniffer, tantalisingly :yh_rotfl:-1 Yaaaagh I need a bacon butty !!!! and we aint got any bacon grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

Fireworks are over and it's raining lightly. Fetch your own slippers babe:wah: I'm busy watching the fireworks on tv shown live from Philly on the Benjamin Franklin Parkway. Ahh, wish I was there with an umbrella:wah: Aussie, I know my neice had a delay in taking off from Philly Wednesday, had to leave on Thursday, jsut missed the plane out of California and is now flying out to OZ on Saturday. Still have to find out where she's going in Sydney and will let you know.

I hope she has a good flight, Duckie!! I'm having a fabulous, lazy, solitary Saturday afternoon - stretched out on my balcony -wearing slippers !! - with a good Olivia Goldsmith book and bluesy, smoky jazz playing. There's sailing boats on Sydney harbour and occasionally the ferries honk at them (on the harbour ferries have right of way!) ... In a few hours family will get here - it's school holidays for two weeks and there will be wonderful chaos.... but for now..... another coffee and back to me book. :-6

Apparently, she putzed around San Francisco for the day. Jealous:sneaky: Haven't been there in about 20 yrs. The boyfriend is already in Sydney and it turns out his dad is from there. Need to call SIL and get more info. Reading a book? If I had the time. Well, I will in about a month as I will be on vacay and outta here for the month. Yup, the ducks will be floating in the ocean.:wah:

It was cold and extremely wet all day yesterday in Sydney, Kaylene. Today it's overcast but dry. Sweater and trenchcoat weather. Hope your weekend is going well. Back to the book...

San Francisco is a neat place to putz about in, Duckie. And always reminds me of Sydney. Same kind of brash creativity, great harbour, same latitude er geographically (though on the opposite side of the Equator). It is rumoured that the naughtiest parts of SF were founded during the Gold Rush, by Aussies!!!
