i'm very irritated! it's almost 100 degree weather my air conditioning is on the fritz and the guy says it would be better to get a whole new one than replace the bad part!:-5:-5

It probably does need a part. I went through this last summer in 100 degree heat. The part should not be that expensive. Don't call them on a Sunday or you will be paying out the rear. Sunday's are triple time. And Hope, everybody is going to be calling the plumber/air cond. guys. I know, I'm married to one.:wah:

the guy that came out today said the part is so expensive and is such a major part of the system that it would save me money in the long run to just buy the whole new thing, it's in the outside box i think he said it was a compressor?

Hope, I just asked my hubby and he said if it the compressor and your model is 16 yrs old, you would be better off getting a whole new box honey.

I am in Penrith MrsK1 at the bottom of the Blue Mountains so about one hour west of Sydney:D

yeah i've got a fan, it's the only way we're staying in the house, i've been aiming to get him a kiddie pool just haven't done it!:wah:

Little Tykes has the best pool and it lasts forever. 6 yrs with ours so far:wah:
