You don't have to go to England in the summer. You don't need a special invitation. Today, we shall have little Gardem Party of our own................right here.

Come as you are. :)

"To have a dream come true at any age is something very special"

Carolly made this comment on the "Don't Judge a Book by It's Cover" thread.

This is indeed a truth. When I was a child, I dreamed of becoming a teacher, a wife, a mother, and a grandmother and I have done all of these. I couldn't wait to drive a car.........and I do that too. I wanted to be a dancer, and the closest I came to that was being called "very graceful" by my gymn teachers in our modern dance class in grade school. :) Well, I suppose I should count those dates when I would dance to the music of the bands with my boyfriend at the time. ;) I had fun. I have enjoyed sketching and drawing, but I have never dreamed of becoming a professional artist. The ones I am aware of seem to have lead such sad lives.

Do I have dreams now? Sometimes. Life can sometimes surprise me at times. There is always something new to learn. A joyous, spontaneous experience can happen at any time. Do I hold my breath? No. Every day is a gift and to be able to share it with someone who loves you and you love is special.

I'm along for the ride and enjoying myself. :)

Do you have any dreams that have come true for you?

Thanks, duckie. :) I feel I deserve a treat today. I worked, took care of some personal financial business, made motel reservations for Hubby and me for our vacation coming up, and mailed my Dad a birthday card.

Gosh that looks good!

I also got my camera back today, repaired and mailed free of charge.

:) Well, I'm back. We had a great time in the Smokies. I got to ride a chair lift up the mountain and pet a wolf at Ghost Town in the Sky , ride on an old steam locomotive in Dollywood, ride on a paddle boat in a pond at Santa Land, ride on a tram up into the mountains in Gatlinburg. The weather was perfect and the mountains were still beautiful and green this time of year. It was great to get away.

Here are some of the things I saw and captured with my camera;

This past Thursday was the night the lights went out in Georgia. And the phone......and the internet connection...til today. Atleast in my corner of Georgia. :wah:

We had a rough thunderstorm and the power was off for two hours. During that time, Hubby and I were sitting on the sofa by kerosine light ..when all of sudden ...

.....BOOM!!!............a picture fell off the wall......as lightening struck the telephone pole across the road from us. The phone company finally got it fixed today...........after I called about 4 different times (from my cell phone.)

I didn't want to stay away from my FG buddies for too long. :)

Hello, everybody!

I want to share with you a today something I found at Uncle Bill's Flea Market in the Smokeys.......................sunflowers in a can. Actually, I got it free with a fountain I bought fron the vendor. I was sceptical, but..........what the heck.......I like sunflowers. So we took it home, opened the can and followed the directions. A week later, we saw something starting to pop up. So. I took this photo yesterday evening............yeah I like chickens too. :) I bought the yellow chicken bowl at the Flea Market In Florida for 1 dollar.

Two flowers are starting to come up. It's not a cheese plant..........but I'm excited. :wah:

We all know that "Bill" is the nickname for "William".

We also know the dollar bill, the duck bill, and those nasty things that come in the mail monthly..........bills.

We also know not to mess with Bill. :wah:

tips for a stress free commute:)

Stress Relief

Just in case you are having a rough day, here is a stress management technique recommended in all the latest psychological tests.

The funny thing is that it works.

1. Picture yourself near a stream in the mountains.

2. Birds are softly chirping in the cool mountain air.

3. No one knows your secret place.

4. You are in total seclusion from the hectic place called the world.

5. The soothing sound of a gentle waterfall fills the air with a cascade of serenity.

6. The water is crystal clear.

7. You can easily make out the face of the person you are holding under the water.

See. You're smiling already.
