They are fine now, the youngest can be influenced by their father...but once we get back into our home and normal routine of life....we are all fine!:-4:-4
thanks for asking!

You should be PROUD of yourself - we're Proud of you..
Mother's Day is a Day - You should have the Day year round...
I was surprise that you allowed visitation over Mother's Day - by-law, usually Mother's Day, Mom gets the kids - Father's Day, he gets the kids, trade off on C'mas etc... the day sucked - it's over
Let your son experience his Father's routine - he'll want to come back home..
You know that - I know that.. He'll miss you & the rest of the Family and your routine. you know that..
I've been thru this - I came from a split Family senario... The other is always a option .
Be calm during discussions - be calm with their choice - they'll be back - they'll always yours..
Things will constantly change - living arrangements - graduations - marriages
unfortunately you will have to put up with your EX during all these Changes ..
We Love You
We're Proud of you

:-4:-4 Patsy, thank you so much for that!:-4
I only let him have them on Mother's day because he hasn't seen them for over a month and they need to see him even if it is for a short weekend. That is one of my pet peeves, he wants to take the kids, but he doesn't even follow the guidelines of the child custody guidelines that the judge set forth....of course this was 5 years ago, but its no-ones fault that he's changed jobs....but because I'm the nice person around here, I put up with it for the boys' sake.
I believe that things will be fine, and I believe you are right that they will always come home. Now that I know he won't be inconvienced with only one of the kids, I know that he's not going to bother with asking me again. He will have to change his lifestyle for the boys, that ain't gonna happen....he just had to look like he cared....thats all.
I love you all too and I appreciate all of you, this has helped me so much, to get it out on the computer screen, sure is theraputic (sp?)
Yeah, putting up with the Ex is the part that keeps my blood pressure up, I know I bring up the fact that he doesn't see the kids but once a month, but I enjoy not having to deal with him that much during a month!!

Your very generous - and have you boys best interest at heart
They will always need a good relationship with the EX..
The EX sounds selfish & fairly young @ 34 to 38, I'm guessing & doesn't matter..
Your in the right direction - your liberated - your strong
YOU ARE WOMAN ...!!
I love that song that has " one less bell to answer - one less egg to fry - one less man to pick up after" Oh, ?? ****?? what is it?? I Love that song...
I will always think of you when I here that song

I LOVE that song!!!....and you made me chuckle with blaming it on the wine!
Except I am glad he's gone....but really good song!--definately one less bell to answer, he used to shake his empty glass at me to fill it up at the dinner table....no joke!
here is the link to the video and song! They just don't make music like that anymore do they?
Funny that you guessed him so young, he is 2 years older than me, he will be 43 next december and little wifey is around 24....he's a immature, selfish pig!

Lots of hugs to you. :-4
If you son insists that he wants to live with his dad I think you have to let him or he'll resent you in the future and will constantly throw it back at you that you didn't let him go. Provided he knows that you love him and that he is welcome back at any time the novelty of living with dad will wear off very quickly.
It's bang out of order for your ex to do this though, and he should not insist on both boys coming as a package - your other son is just as entitled to choose where he lives as his brother.
I think the best thing you can do is not say much more about it but let your son know that if he wants to talk about it more he can.
Good luck sweetie.

I just received a letter from the College that I interviewed with....what OVER a month ago?....and they said in the letter that they have decided to re-arrange the department so they would not be hiring anyone for this position at this time...I thought...YOU are kidding me, all this time and all that effort to fill that position and they are just going to make someone work harder to save $$$....well, more power to 'em!
I am steady applying for jobs, and please pray or send beams for me for a job that looks promising, I had a phone interview and it went VERY well (or so I felt it did) and the gentleman conducting the interview said that someone would call to schedule a interview early next week.....whooo hoooo....It is a good opportunity, good location and income is right on target, so I'm a prayin'!!:yh_pray:yh_angel

Thanks so much Pam and Cars!! I really appreciate the good thoughts and hugs!!
I felt very good about the interview...I liked the three people that interviewed me and I wasn't nervous at all which was great. I was reserved (which takes discipline on my part!)...It took 2 hours...so the fact that I was cool and calm was awesome....I should hear something next week sometime....I appreciate the prayers and good thoughts!
My youngest son woke up this morning with his face swollen, eyes were almost swollen shut, I had to come home from the interview and take him to an emergency center because his doctors office was closed by the time I was taking him to be seen....we ended up waiting in an doctors office (emergency center/clinic type) for 2 long hours with NO air conditioning:(....It is 100 degrees here and feels like 106....and the doctors office personnel said there was nothing they could do, it was because of the windows in the waiting room, we were all about to faint from heat exhaustion....plus my son was in pain from the rash on his face....I was NOT a happy camper!!!.....Eating dinner @ 10pm was interesting also.....

The doctor did say it was probably an allergy, so frustrating that we were uncomfortable for over 2 hours waiting on him, and he charged me $140.00 to tell me "yeah, its an allergic reaction to something"....I could've told you that for free!!...unfortunately I don't have the ability to write a prescription to make my son feel better though....:-5

Thanks for the encouragement for the job....I will be sure and post the results as soon as I hear, playing the waiting game right now.

Thanks so much, we were at the Emergency room for about 3-4 hours, but a pleasant experience majorally compared to last night, they were all very nice and helpful, turns out the emergi-care office I went to last night didn't give my son a large enough dose, they said they gave him 1/3rd of what he needed.....:-5:-5 So, now we should see results, they've given him more and he has already said he was feeling a little better, but that might be the tylenol with codine....:-6 he was in a lot of pain and getting sick to his tummy....a really rough two days for my sweet boy!:-1

My word what an awful experience for him swelling of the face is very painful poor little guy. I hope he feel better big time by morning. Sure would be nice to know what the heck caused the reaction. :-5
