you're right Sis. i know my mom loves me and i don't think she actually realizes that what she says is hurtful she's always been very outspoken and always said whatever was on her mind. she used to say that her outspoken nature had gotten her into more trouble over the years. but she's always come through when i needed her, when i was so sick with morning sickness that i couldn't get out of the bed some days i don't know what i would have done if she hadn't come in and taken care of me. the only thing is she will never tell you how she feels about you, she has told me she loved me one time in my life, she always says you show people how you feel by what you do for them, not what you say.

but i believe in telling people i love them i told my husband i love you everyday when he was around and i say it to Jacob everyday too. and there are people here on FG that i have grown to love and i say i love you to them quite often too! like right now! I love you Sis!:-4

Hope, I'm afraid some mothers can never accept that their daughters have actually grown into capable women - they are still their little girl and can't possibly know the ins and outs of being a good mum!! And of course mothers always think that their 'ways' are the best ! Just say 'yes mom' in the appropriate places, with a smile, then carry on and do it your way :sneaky: :wah:;) :-4

Hey Hope :-4 The worst thing I ever did to my first born was listen to other people. I know they mean well, but your child is not their child. It took me 13 years to realise this ... and now I get the chance to put it right (thank god ) Follow your heart, the gut feeling. You know what i mean :-4 Just follow your heart ... its pretty damn impressive. :-4 And with your Mum, if you know she loves you .. thats enough:-4 ... she may not show it like you want ... damn annoying :wah: .... I had that with my Mum, but when i held her hand as she died ... I knew .... no words were needed. Love her for being her ... and follow your heart with your son .... don't have any regrets by listening to others ... go with your Mummy heart, it will work every time :-4

you're exactly right he is my child and i'm gonna listen to my own heart where he is concerned. i know sometimes words are not needed for you to know someone loves you, it's that way with my mom, i know she loves me even if she can't say it,

Lovely day here today I have done all the laundry,washed,vacuumed & polished the car.

Last night we had our youngest grandson sleep over poor little man has the flu.

Hope just my bit of advice.

You sound like a very loving & caring mum.

Just do what you think is best for you & your son & you can't go wrong.

My mother inlaw always told me I was a crappy mother.

Guess what my kids come & visit at least once a week,my grandkids spend a lot of time with me,my son & daughter inlaw think I am ok to.

I think my MI was a bit pee'd off because I married her only son:wah::wah:

We get on well now & I just ignored her words at the time.

You are doing well your mum might be feeling left out just ask her some advice now & then.You don't have to do what she say's it just makes her feel included.

I am sure she loves you dearly as well.
