Oh heck yeah. Biker functions almost always turn into "clothing optional" events, as long as no kids are present. We don't mess around with other guys, (I just realized how that sounded) but nakedness is a way of life among bikers. We're not shy-types. :yh_bigsmi

Ooops. Hope I'm not getting anyone into trouble here, but big biker events always have nudity. Mostly it's girls flashing their boobs, (fairly harmless) but it does get a bit more risque than that at times.

Everything we don't know about yet. What species of animals have we yet to discover? Is there an actual God? Are there other forms of intelligent life on other planets? What happens when we die? Why do teenage boys act the way they do?
Anything and everything that is mysterious. We have so much to learn.

That's got to be one of the best questions I've heard yet, minks.
I guess it would have to be how many different kinds of love there are. You love your parents you love your kids, you love your partner. I had a partner a while ago that I thought was my true soul-mate. I love hard, and completely. When I discovered his true self, I could not love him anymore, and it was easy not to. The true love that I have now is so very different from how that felt, and there's no doubts about it. There's so many different ways to love, it's incredible.

When a compromise like that suits my interest or the situation isn't important enough to me to battle over, yes, I have done that.
Compromise is a really important word to learn to have a successful relationship. Any relationship: personal, business, family....

Oh yes. Being a bartender for so long, it's second nature to sniff out trouble-makers, hard-asses, and potential brawlers on sight. There are times when a person will come in and sit at my bar, and just the way they look at me tells me a lot about them. Then they open their mouths and how they speak to me tells me more.
Yes, it's easy to develop and instant dislike for a person in my line of work. And in my life-style. When visiting other clubhouses it's easy to pick out the guys who are trouble. I guess between the job and the life, I have gotten real good at spotting @ssholes.

I have been SO itching to see that movie!!! I'm sure I could really relate to a bunch of stuff that happens in it.
I began waitressing when I was 13. I lied about my age to get work, so for all intents and purposes, except for the years I was a vet tech, I have been in the food service industry to some degree for 22 years. I have done something like this ONE time. It was early in my "career" before I grew my thick skin and I let a customer get to me. I spit in her pina coloda.
I have played jokes, such as dumping a bunch of salt in a co-workers soda, as a gag, but only the one time as a "revenge" thing.

Hehehehe it was a funny flick and anyone who is in food services could really get a good laugh out of it. Yeah it was cheezy at parts and gross but the one lady who grumbles about them coming to early while she eats her salad is PRICELESS you will love it.

hdfxsb83 wrote: what was the original name of abate ? what year (originally) did it come into existence ?
In 1971, an organization named NCAA (National Custom Cycle Association) wrote an article for EasyRider magazine. It spoke of educating people about the rights of bikers and the general misconceptions about motorcycle riding. It was, in fact, originally a group of chopper riders. That organization grew into ABATE.
No, I have never visited a BACA site. I'd definitely be interested, though. I'll check it out.
Now, how about that clarification on that other topic you asked me about? :yh_bigsmi

Nope, I work every weekend.
Tom Collins:
2 oz. Gin (Bombay Sapphire is my reccomendation)
1 oz. lemon juice
1 tsp. fine sugar
3 oz. club soda
maraschino cherries
orange slice
In a shaker half-filled with ice cubes, combine the gin, lemon juice, and sugar. Shake well. Strain into a collins glass alomst filled with ice cubes. Add the club soda. Stir and garnish with the cherry and the orange slice.

I remember drinking these many years ago, but didn't know what went in them. Okay...dumb question here....why the Bombay Sapphire? Is there that much of a difference in gin? :-3

You're welcome!
There's no such thing as a dumb question, Basco.
Tell ya what....go out and buy just a half pint of say, Heaven Hill gin, and a bit pricier one, like Tanqueray, and a Bombay Sapphire. NOT just Bombay, but the Bombay Sapphire. You'll know the difference, the Sapphire comes in a gorgeous blue bottle.
Chill them all and give them a taste and I'll lay you 50 to 1 you gag on the Heaven Hill and adore the Sapphire.
When I drank, gin was one of my favorites. (Seems like I had a LOT of "favorites") I've tried many, many types of gin. Nothing compares to the Sapphire.

Something else besides what?
Perfect Manhattan:
In a rocks glass filled with ice:
2.5 oz whiskey. (My preference? Jack Daniels)
The tiniest splash of dry vermouth
The tiniest splash of sweet vermouth
3 maraschino cherries on a toothpick

The difference in taste is just that. A difference in taste, preference. Potato vodka does tend to be smoother, but not having had a drink in so long, I don't recall and I never drank much vodka when I did drink.
I don't know about where you are, but my liquor stores sell tiny 2 oz. bottles of just about everything they carry. If you have those, try a couple different kinds till you find the one you like.
Let me know how you like the Sapphire!!

This is called "Flair Bartending" and I would LOVE to learn it! I have practiced on my own with the flipping bottles and such, but I need to take a class. The only fancy thing I can do is the waterfall. That's where you take as many drink shakers as you can, line up shot glasses, and stacking the shakers, pour the entire line of shots with one motion. Kinda hard to explain here, without visual.
I can move real fast when it's really busy, but I don't do any of the "flair" stuff. I really REALLY want to learn it though. Those guys are amazing to watch.
