its not so beautiful here today, we've had a lot of rain but the past week has been pretty good.

I adore Rosamunde Pilcher and adore all of her books. They made 2 of her books into movies "September" my favorite...cry everytime I watch it and "Coming Home"...........lovely movie.

Her story "Shell Seekers" took place in Cornwall...

Helen I agree about Barrymore.His a very funny man .....very......but indeed is a very troubled one and has been for many years now.He used to live in Harlow and did for years.His wife Cheryl was one smart cookie and made him a top tv star.As I said many moons ago I used to book him for Stag shows for 12 quid.....he used to do an act standing on his head then:wah:Sad fing is..........his finished now:(

Carol, I have a video recording of Michael Barrymore at the Royal Command Performance, a few years ago, when he did the song 'Will you still love me tomorrow ?' with a bunch of I think it was Grenadier Guards doing drill marching on the stage, and the Sgt. Major was desperately trying to keep a straight face all the way through :wah::wah: I thought it was hilarious, and very clever. Also a brilliant routine he did with either the Tiller Girls, or similar troupe, when they all sat at the front of the stage, with Barrymore in the middle. The timing was brilliant ! It is so sad that a man of such talent should fall from grace so badly like that. I think he fell apart when he split from his wife. I thought he was a natural clown.

I don't know Carol, I've never used it. My nephew Richard has it in his laptop - it happened to be the system on that laptop. I've got XP, and I'm quite happy with that. I shall be even happier when I can download loads of my documents etc onto my little 8 GB Memory Drive (that's a little gadget you can carry in your pocket which stores stuff like 'documents', photos, emails you want to keep etc etc, freeing off memory space on your laptop - you just plug it into your USB port when you need it).

It will make my laptop so much faster, more like when I first had it, before I gathered a load of stuff in me documents. I also have a couple of games which I can also transfer to me Memory Drive, and that will free up even more space. I also have a 4 GB one for Chris's stuff. Because I've got these gadgets, I won't need to get Vista or anything else ! I just am not sure about this new thing really, I shall have to ask Richard how he's getting on with his.

Gill I knew he was Gay years ago long before he went public about it.The problem was he was living a lie and also he had a drink problem.....this turned into drugs.He was a natural and so so funny.Who you got today fgs.....that idiot with all the black hair who has just made a film.....cant fink of his name.....his about as funny as ...........well nofing to be honest.....total crap and I find embarrassing to watch.So another one bites the dust............and that guy dyingwell I dont reckon the truth will ever come out:(

Yes I know he had a drink problem Carol, and later the drugs. It was probably the stress of living that lie for so long added to the pressures of his celebrity status. Such a bloody waste. He had me rolling with laughter whenever he was on TV, and whenever he 'interviewed' the various contestants on that show, he was so outrageous sometimes, but he could get away with it, because he did it in his inimitable style and with a wicked twinkle in his eye. :wah::wah:
