Random thoughts from the peat and gorse hills of South West Ireland. I have learnt to fall into the bogs in many creative ways. I have learnt some wonderful new Gaelic words to express my feelings when I fall into the bogs in creative ways. My drought-ridden Aussie psyche has learnt that rain not only exists, it can fall on you in many creative ways. I have learnt some wonderful new Gaelic ways to express my feelings when rain falls on me in creative ways. I have learnt that the Irish are totally awesome in crazy creative ways. Last night I met a 'hill batchelor' - this is a family forum so I can't explain what a hb is, but he was very colourful. Today I danced a jig in a little Irish music shop with the owner, who dragged out his concertina and played away, and then plied me with whiskey.. it being 10am. A farmer gave me a ride in haytruck during one rainstorm. Landladies make big pots of tea here. And coffee drinkers can convert. I have never understood how GREEN green can get. And how good a big plate of Irish breakfast can be...

So good to see you had a great time. I love the pics I have seen of Ireland and yes it does look very green. We have spurts of green here in Oklahoma. right now the sunshine looks very good. I had to hack and chop on my vegetation in the back yard yesterday. Belly high to a big horse.

G'day and Dia dhaoibh Pinky and Okie!!! Yesterday I saw where they filmed Ryan's Daughter. Awesome countryside. Met a great lady from Santa Barbara on the road today. She's doing local research for a novel she's writing! The grass doesn't seem to grow much here, Okie - I think sheep or leprechauns must rush in during the night and chomp it all down to manicured lawn type proportions. Awesome.

Got my sisters monitor, so much better to have a decent monitor but it's such a small screen size, gonna take some getting used to. Straining my eyes here. lol

Its a bit hard to wrap my mind around the show when they have beaches and bonfires under the sea. But kids love it.

No she now has a laptop so doesn't need it. It's a flatscreen and mine was HUGE, heavy and making my desk collapse. :wah:

Oh you are so right, they were. Sky should have a channel just for those, I'd happily watch them with my kids instead of most of the crap now.

Well they do for some old kid shows, (yes I'll admit I actualy still watch them haha.)

I'm so glad that between Youtube and those sky channels that I can watch some old classics, and as you say today's stuff is awful, no wonder ITV was it wanted to reduce or remove the children program lines ups as they are so pointless today!!

Ah the joys of setting up the scanner. I remember trying to set ours up a while back, and boy did it play up, not of course that yours will do anything like that, nope not at all hahaha. :p
