Hope, the biggest regret I had over my son, is that I could not take him to a pre-school play group. We lived in a quiet little village right out in the sticks, and Chris used our car for work, so I had no transport to take Andy to another village that did have one. There was a bus, but that came through the village about every three hours, and once on Sunday :wah: However, once Andy had started school, a pre-school playgroup had been started up in the village :-5. It is so important for toddlers, particularly only children, to be able to mix with their peers, even if it is only once a week, then when it comes to going to school, it will hold no anxieties for them, and besides they may even have made friends at playgroup with some of the children starting at the same school. That's got to be a plus point.
Hope you may get friendly with other mums who take their children to the playgroup, and have a good chat with them, even visit each other's homes so the children can play away from the playgroup.
As I say, I do bitterly regret not being able to take my son to a pre-school playgroup, as I'm sure that formed the foundation for him becoming a bit of a 'loner' at the beginning of his schooling.

Gawd elp us its cold out:(.Tell ye the price of food is getting a joke........where the hell is it all going to end fgs.:-5It aint going up in penny's either.Also petrol prices now is just getting stupid.The flipping government is getting 65p a litre in tax and is getting more in September.Every day it seems I go past a garage and the petrol is dearer than the day before.......£1.10 a litre today...thats over £5 a gallon......why cant we be more like France and scream out but no us English just take everything that is thrown at us no matter what......tell you sorry but Im also getting peed off with one law for one and another for those who make these bloody laws and charges in taxes.Wish I could get huge expensives for a second home or get what rise I want and loads of other stuff.Its just tax,tax and more tax it seems and its like those in "charge" sit at their desk thinking of ways they can get more money out of us and of course the dear old motorist.No wonder so many people I know have left this country and keep on at me to join them as they are finding a better way of life and alot flipping cheaper...........ok Im off my soap box!!!!;)....Fing is Im not really as I cant stop finking about some of those food price increases I saw today:sneaky:

Oh I hear ya Carolly. Just got back from the gas station and to fill up my truck was $60.00 and that was for about 3/4 of a tank. Grocery store wasn't much better. $53.00 for 3 bags. But I did buy a strawberry shortcake. Looked too yummy to pass up.

Ive put this on before......but feel the need to do it again as so many people may need to hear this right now.So this is just for you..............wherever you are;)
When things go wrong, as they sometimes will,
When the road you're trudging seems all up hill,
When the funds are low and the debts are high,
And you want to smile, but you have to sigh,
When care is pressing you down a bit,
Rest! if you must; but don't you quit.
Life is queer with its twists and turns,
As everyone of us sometimes learns,
And many a failure turns about
When he might have won had he stuck it out;
Don't give up, though the pace seems slow;
You might succeed with another blow.
Often the goal is nearer than
It seems to a faint and faltering man,
Often the struggler has given up
When he might have captured the victor's cup.
And he learned too late, when the night slipped down,
How close he was to the golden crown.
Success is failure turned inside out;
The silver tint of the clouds of doubt;
And you never can tell how close you are,
It may be near when it seems afar;
So stick to the fight when you're hardest hit;
It's when things seem worst that YOU MUST NOT QUIT!!!;)
