However on his way out, he was in the lift going down and the next floor down the lift stopped and two people got in. Wow! It was an old sea scout pal of Chris's who he hasn't seen for years, and the pal's mother. They had come from Northampton to Nottingham to visit somebody in hospital ! Now what are the chances of meeting like that in a hospital lift ????

Two Mexicans are stuck in the desert, wandering aimlessly and close to death. They are near to just lying down and waiting for the inevitable, when all of a sudden...
'Hey Pepe, do you smell what I smell. Ees bacon, I is sure of eet'.
'Si, Luis, eet smells like bacon to meee'.
So, with renewed strength, they struggle off up the next sand dune, and there, in the distance, is a tree, just loaded with bacon.
There's raw bacon, dripping with moisture, there's fried bacon, back bacon, double smoked bacon...every imaginable kind of cured pig meat you can imagine!!
'Pepe, Pepe, we ees saved. Eees a bacon tree.'
'Luis, are you sure ees not a meerage? We ees in the desert, don' forget.'
'Pepe, when deed you ever hear of a meerage that smell of bacon...ees no meerage, ees a bacon tree!'
And with that...Luis races towards the tree. He gets to within 5 metres, Pepe following behind, when all of a sudden, a machine gun opens up, and Luis is cut down is his tracks. It is clear he is mortally wounded but, true friend that he is, he manages to warn Pepe with his dying breath.
'Pepe...go back man, you was right, ees not a bacon tree.'
'Luis, Luis mi amigo...what ees eet?'
'Pepe...ees not a bacon tree....
Ees
Ees...
'Ees, a Ham Bush':wah::wah:;)

Sorry i still havent read back. i literally just finished wrriting the post above when my husband shouted for me and sheila was bleeding a lot from her wound. we got help from the woman next door as she owns kennels and breeds dogs, so she knew a bit more than us. we ended up taking her to emergency vets where they found out she is bleeding internally. They have her now and are operating, it is very risky but we had no other choice. they are going to phone us when the op is over.

Thanks Chris,, we are worried a bit, The vet also said the cost wuld be between 600 to 700 pound, but then on the way home, the owner of the vets where she was spayed phoned us to sympathise and told us not to worry about the cost as they would cover them. That worries me:-1
