We had frost last night! This is the craziest weather we've ever had in the month of June. Sunny and warm one day and then cold and rainy the next :( Never know what to take out to wear for the day so I just have both my winter and summer clothes still in my closet.

Gill: How have you been?

Odie: Hope you are feeling better today!

We should call this Gill's Sick Hut :yh_rotfl

we should, just a bunch of sickos here!:yh_rotfl

so glad your bug didn't last long.

weather here was crazy last night to!:-5

That one is for Helen (Garfield fan !) :wah:

Well it's a bloody miserable day today. Heavy cloud and occasional heavy showers!

But the sun is trying to fight its way through the clouds at last ! But it won't be for long though - there's more mucky stuff hoving into view from the north east ! :-5

Odie, have you tried using your hair drier on that grass? :sneaky: :lips:

Hi Jazzy, I have to tell you that this hut is not the sick hut - I insist !!!! :p

Helen, reading your post, I would suggest you ring the doctor and tell him what's been happening to you. It may be that some people have this as a side effect to those tablets and he may have an alternative that you can try. In the meantime, it may be a good idea to not take any more till you speak to the doc. It would be interesting if you find that you don't have another bout like you have been having. I hope you have been drinking plenty of fluids by the way! Just take it easy Mrs. :-6

Ey up me ducks ! :p :lips:

A breezy day, very cloudy, showers of rain. What my mum would call a yurgy day !

Hope you ill folks is now much better, and that Odie has managed to hair-dry her grass so she can mow it :wah:

I am busy today, doing various paperwork, checking bills are paid up-to-date, and kicking next door's cat occasionally !

The other next door is blasting her drat *rap rubbish, and we have received notification that she will have received a warning letter from the council....... In their communication to us, they have included sheets of paper with 'log incidents' on them. Either the woman hasn't read her mail yet, or she's giving the council the finger. Perhaps she doesn't realise that at the end of the day, if she continues to be anti-social she will have her hi-fi removed! Also a possible fine.

The house she occupies is a private rented house. Ours is a privately owned house, and that her anti-social behaviour could jeopardise any sale of our property, should we wish to sell - which we will in a few months time.

She'd better shut up ! grrrrrrrrrrrrrr

you should phone and ask your council.

The council issue her a warning, and ask us to keep a 'log' of events. If she appears to take no notice of the warning and the noise continues as before, then the council will make a visit, to ascertain for themselves, the level of noise. Then they will knock on her door (if of course, she can hear them !) and issue her a person to person warning. If after that, she still continues giving the old finger, then the council will return and no doubt remove the reason for the noise!

At least notice has been taken of our complaint - in the council at any rate! The problem could be sorted immediately, or take a few weeks, depending on her reaction to the initial warning.

That's great Gill, you can keep records, times and dates.

If she can't hear them come, they will make sure she does.;)

I'm so glad you took this up with your council as no one should have to live by her rules.

hi everyone,

been knocked off line again for 36hrs,,,,,,,,,,,,,,:-5:-5

but its enabled me to get my finger out and, like you gill, ive been sorting paperwork out, got my curtains washed and wallys had a hair cut !!

i can remember noisey neighbours at my other house, they had 3 teenage kids, who not only blighted my life but most of the neighbourhood as well with their dreadful behavior.

i was in the process of moving out anyway but one night at 3am id had enough. the music was making my windows vibrate so i went into the back garden, banged on her window with my yard brush and told her if she couldnt find the volume control on her stereo, id show her where it was with a sledge hammer  i thought it was the kids but it was the mother doing her ironing !!!!!!

not long after i moved out, they were evicted for the trouble they caused but not before they totally trashed the council house....................

boootiful day here again as it was yesterday, quite a strong breeze blowing which is keeping the tempreture down though :(

Ey up me ducks !

Hope all are OK and the weather in your neck of the woods is good, or at least what you all want ! :-6 ;)

I wondered where you were, Helen, oh well at least you are back online now. Is there something you can do to stop this happening so regularly? Or is it just your 'dongle' being fussy over signal strength? If it's the latter then there won't be much you can do, unless you get a landline! Well there is the Euromillions tonight, and the Lotto tomorrow :yh_rotfl

Take care everybody :-6 :D

Sorry to hear that, Helen. Hope you haven't done extra damage and prolong your recovery time Mrs. If the swelling doesn't go down and the pain subside in a couple of days, you'd better contact your doc, or the hospital.

Somehow I don't think you will be doing that again...................... well not until your ankle is properly healed anway.

It must be so frustrating, being incapacitated for so long, and I can understand you feeling good enough to be able to do all the things you did, so don't beat yourself up over it. Just behave yourself, and take things slowly............ I think you can safely say that you just did an ..............

I'm trying to watch the Canadian Grand Prix, but the storm clouds are getting closer, I may have to turn the TV off before the end of the race grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr There are two Brits in the first four places, and it would be good to have two podiums. For once we have a race on our hands ! There's a group of 5 cars all within 9 secs at the front. 20 laps to go ! Lewis Hamilton in the lead at the moment.

Ey up Helen !!! I wouldn't blame you for any thunderstorm coming up from your direction !! :yh_rotfl It has, actually, passed by with just a bit of rain, no thunderstorm (as yet), but there is another bank of threatening cloud following up.

Thanks Odie, for your concern :) I won't be venturing out anywhere today, that's for sure. Chris has managed to get the tomato plants in with lots of lovely manure, just in time for any decent rainfall. Also some sweet peas. I'm just sitting here watching the Germans slaughter the Aussies at footie, and supping a lovely cup of tea. ;)

hi everyone,

feeling a bit better now........... been behaving myself:D although i did take a trip into town, not on my own, and got a corner unit with glass doors from a second hand shop. now got my darts trophies on display and two less boxes stored in my bedroom

got enough room on the shelf thats left for most of my ornaments so that will be another box less to keep moving around so i can get to other things !!

its got a good sized storage area at the bottom and i will no doubt find something to fill that up with

been a lovely day here but we've had a few hefty showers in the last couple of hours so another night i havnt got to water my plants.

ive got two tomato plants amongst the flowers and they seem to be getting on ok and despite saying "no more pots " ive two to hang from the fence but nothing to go in them as yet !

I'm all for having glass fronted display cabinets - less dusting :yh_rotfl

I bet you'll soon find some plants to fill those pots on your fence - try fuschias, lobelias, petunias - bags of colour. Most plants you can get 'hanging' versions of, apparently. You know, everytime Chris goes out shopping, if he goes by our local flower/off licence shop, he doesn't go by it :yh_rotfl:yh_rotfl:yh_rotfl Our little garden is getting very colourful :-6 :D

I've never turned off my t.v in a storm, guess I'm not that concerned.

Hi Helen. your pots are going to look very pretty ! :-6

As regards being kicked out for enquiring about you lekky, I don't think it works that way. As far as I am aware, you can only be evicted from your rented flat if you missed rent payments, or were anti-social over a period of time, or did damage or made the place an eyesore etc. after warnings. If the landlord queries your and your neighbour's investigations concerning the electricity bill, I would personally be very suspicious of my landlord, particularly if he lived in the same complex! It would make me even more determined to get to the bottom of the problem, and bloody fast! I hasten to add, I'm not suggesting anything for one moment ! :sneaky: :lips: but you've got to look after number one aintcha ? ;)

Hello everyone!

Helen: You are sounding so much better and more upbeat. I hope you can get that electric bill sorted out. The knick knacks sound so cute and wish you could post a pic of the hedgehogs. :(

Gill: Weather here today is nice and sunny for once. I loved the picture of your garden. The hanging plants are beautiful!

Have a good day and I'll talk to you soon! :-4

Ey up me ducks !

I've been busy all day sorting out all me paper work and filing it all, just so I can go straight to it when necessary ! Joke ! :yh_rotfl

While I was doing that, my dear hubby Chris decided to take advantage of the reasonable weather and trim our flowering cherry of it's rampant branches, now the blossom had long gone. It was actually blocking out the street light which illuminated the alleyway that ran down beside our house! I agreed it would be a good idea, before the damn council come knocking on our door demanding we take off some branches! Chris had been out there for some time, but I couldn't see what he was doing because the extension at the front of our house blocked the cctv camera view of that part of the garden. My mobile phone rang, it was Chris!

"Can you come out and pick up the ladders that have dropped away from the tree and left me stranded up it?" I had no idea that he had been intending to actually climb the tree!!! When I got outside I was gobsmacked !! He had totally pruned all the branches !! There he was, Tarzan, stranded half way up our flowering cherry tree ! :yh_rotfl I sorted the ladder and held it while he climbed down. The crafty monkey had dropped the branches into the alleyway out of sight of the camera ! I gave him a sound smacking on his bottom, right there on the road, and all he could do was laugh at me ! :-5 So I smacked his bottom again for being cheeky ! :yh_rotfl After all, he is 72 years old and shouldn't be climbing damn trees! Anybody watching all this might have thought 'The kinky old buggers, they should do that out of public view, in the house!' :yh_rotfl:yh_rotfl:yh_rotfl

Chris assured me that the tree would soon sprout more branches and be OK for next year's blossom. It does look rather naked and sad at the moment though :-1

Oh he moved all the branches into a huge pile on some hard standing in our front garden. He will sort them out during the week. My son's best friend wants some cherry branches so he can make pipes (smoking), and he carves wands as well. He's quite clever at that sort of thing! My son makes staffs and decorates them with gems. Let's hope that somebody doesn't nick the branches like the windows for a cold frame were nicked from our front garden!

now ive stopped laughing at gills post, i can write something on here !! youve got no idea the picture that conjured up in my mind :D

its another fabulous day here, up at 7am, doors and windows open........

just ordered a new set of bedroom furniture from argos, wardrobe, chest of drawers and bed side cabinet, it was one of their package deals and with V A T threatening to go up in the budget next week, thought id better get on and do it.

what ive got now, my boss gave me when i moved and it had had a good bit of wear and tear from the hotel and ive had use of it for 5yrs now. the drawers are starting to come adrift and if i can hang what ive got folded up in them, in the wardrobe then i will have even more room in my bedroom and another excuse for my mate to come down and put it altogether for me :sneaky::lips::o
