Thank you sooo much for your concern and all of your lovely advice. I will take them to heart. Being here is great ! I feel so welcome :-6 and it is the first time in my life that I don't feel rejected. You people here are friendly and wonderful. Thank you for accepting me.

It's been raining here and the temp is 47...all our Christmas snow is almost all gone.

Yes AFTR, we go in spurts...if we were always just whining and complaining constantly no one would be able to type cuz we'd just be cryin all the time. :yh_rotfl:yh_rotfl

Not sure about you, but our temp is gonna be around 10f tonight with minus windchills...plus we're getting sleet, freezing rain, then a little snow. I went out earlier to get smokes and the roads were pure ice...thank God for my 4x4, and I still slid. I was going like 2mph the whole way and back. :yh_rotfl:yh_rotfl

Not too bad today. Daughters sick, had to go to the clinic. Hubby went to the docs and got a few new meds, and I needed a couple. Now I've gotta sort out all of them and make a new list for hubby and write down what they're for, and then set them up for him. So, we all got meds today!! :yh_rotfl:yh_rotfl Sad part is that me and hubby take so many meds, that we each need one of those big containers that have 7 days across and 4 times a day down. I set them up once a week or it would be a nightmare!! :yh_rotfl:yh_rotfl

7 days a week, 3X per day, my mom had, we used to set it up for her to, just easier.

Nah, not any good ones. :wah: Hubby has a hard time keeping track of what's what with his meds, and I'm an old pro cuz I've been on so many for so long, so I just take care of his too and make sure he always has a current list on him just in case of an emergency. I do the same with mine.

Daughter has been dealing with a cough and sore throat on and off for a month. I took her to the clinic about a month ago and they said she didn't have strep or mono. So today they are trying the antibiotic route...if this doesn't work I may have to take her to an Ears', nose and throat doc to maybe check out her tonsils...and to make sure she hasn't ruptured her eardrum again. 2 yrs ago she had to have a new eardrum made cuz she had less than 10% of hers left. I always worry about her ears.

hubby and I put our meds on each others sides of the kitchen counter in bowls...yes, we both have sides, stupid eh? but.......it works.

I think it's time your daughter see's a specialist, did she ever have her tonsils out......I don't remember you saying she did.....both my boys had throat infections every 2 months......tonsils came out....and they were fine.

That's what I talked to the doc about today. When I was in 8th grade they discovered that my tonsils were literally upside down so they came out. I had so many problems before that and then they were gone. We're gonna give these antibiotics a shot first cuz she says everyone at school is sick and Christmas break is next week so she won't be around it so much.

true........alot of people think we get sick from the heat or the cold weather, not!

It's from germs..........see how she is on vacation.

my doc always told me in the winter when all the windows are shut, leave just one window open a crack for some fresh air to come in, from the germs inside!;)

Snowing quite a bit here...hope it stays for Christmas. Funny thing is that it's backwards. It's sticking to the roads, but not so much on the grass. Weird! I already shoveld once today...well, it's more like I pushed the snow with the shovel. I figure it'll make it easier to shovel again later...it's light snow, so it's easy to push it. I hate the heavy wet stuff. :wah:

Really? That sucks! We must have gotten 4 or 5 inches here, but no where close to a blizzard. I'm glad it was the light fluffy snow, I had to shovel twice yesterday and beause it was so lite I just puhed the snow. My back is still killing me after that. :-5

we were given a snow blower from part of Mike's dad's inheritance a few years ago.....we were so happy when his mom gave it to him......he could have never shovelled the amount of snow last year we had......we averaged 8 inches every two days.

every store ran out of shovels and snowblowers in January........most folks shovelling........... just no longer could do it.....every t.v. station, radio station etc. was helping thousands here dig out!

Thankfully the snow was really light and could be pushed, not lifted.
