Well it must be pretty new, despite having a lot of threads and a nice appearance, they only have 6 members. Still being called a sponjer, hmm not exactly my cup of tea haha.

Well by the looks of it, the whole forum revolves around news, practically every kind of news out there, so there doesn't seem to be any fun or jokes or well anything to liven the place up.

Okay you guys freaked me for a sec there. I clicked on it and all I got was an orange globe thingy. So I went back and clicked on it. Now I see what you are talking about. So does anyone know what a spunj is?

Nope not a clue, just at a guess what they call a member over there. I guess if we took that approach then each of us would be gardeners. :wah:

I really don't get how many guests look at certain areas of the forum, I mean I remember once seeing 23 guests looking at the word association game. WHY!!???? :sneaky:

I think guests should only be able to view a few forums and maybe a message at the top saying that they need to register to get access to everything.

Well I think the idea is that to make the place more user friendly, so if people don't want to join up they can still read what we post just can't respond which I think is fair enough. Otherwise we would most likely have so many members, with other half of them not making a single post.

Hmmm not too sure, I think they can view virtually all of them, maybe with the odd exception for more private member stuff. And just so you I'm no FG swot either, honest!!

If you look at the members list though there are people who registered over a year ago and never once posted. I don't see the point in joining a forum if you aren't going to participate.

If you actually look at most of the people that join recently, many of them won't post. As you say I really don't see the point, surely you would have a look around first, then join if you like the look of the place, and want to participate. I like to think that we are all welcoming to all new members! :-6

I suppose theres a lot of reasons why someone would join a forum intending to be a part of it but then leave, guests who havent posted in 3 months should receive an e-mail and then their accounts deleted maybe i know some forums do this and it works well

Hmm I had thought of that, you can still see members that joined years ago, and yet haven't posted since. I guess though even despite the huge gap in time, the door is always opened for them to come back, as the only account deleting seems to be reserved for those that want it deleted or members who have done something to annoy admin.

Exactly, and when people come back they usually make up for the long loss in lots and lots of posts in a short space of time. Heck I'm proof of that today!!

true, and i think when you havent been on for a while the inclination to return isnt there but once you come back you wonder how you managed without it! but tbh its not something that bothers me, if we have a lot of guests then we have a lot of guests, whatever as long as its fun and im enjoying it im not fussed

I agree just it amazes me that at times we can have so many guests in here, I think the highest is something like 1200, now that is a lot of people!!
