fuzzywuzzy;1317521 wrote: Well I was totally pissed off yesterday and did end up going to that friends house to have a major whinge.

I mentioned in another thread about going to the opening thingy of the fire station and putting in for my transfer.........hmmmmm well I was given the station camera and told to take pics of the awards being handed out (I was only going to half an hour and ended up there for three bloody hours.)

SO, anyways you know when you've asked two people of a procdure and you get five different answers? well it was al sorted yesterday...just go to the top and get your info. turns out I don't have to transfer at all but my pager can be set for two stations and I can turn out for both :-5:-5:-5:-5:-5

Then the awards are handed out. GET THIS!!!!!!! Called out in aphabetical order. My klast name begins with a 'B' you'd think I'd be one of the first.......nope...last. when my captain is looking a bit out of sorts because I'm sitting right in front of him and he calls out my name as an afterthought in front of the whole town mind you!!!!!!! That's pretty bloody humiliating. And to top it all off my old station back tracked my membership so I didn't recieve my service medal. (granted it's not my present stations fault) but do you think I wasn't pissed!!! like majorly majorly pissed off? but as I said yesterday I just grinned and bared it.

So Odie, I did go to the friends house and I did get very drunk. and to help me get through it he says ..........."you know you'll be better off at the other station where there are more females. they won't be able to ignore you then"..........god I just went through the bloody transfer **** with him and explained it. Why don't people listen.

There it's all off kmy chest I'm fine .........now.

my god, how rude of them!:-5

I understand why your so pissed off, it seems some never appreciate what you have done.:-5

Well, my lovely, young renters came home from the bars arguing at 3:30 AM, and it lasted for about 1 and 1/2 hours. They finally settled down.

Now, it 5:30 AM, and I'm wide awake.....the bashtards:mad:

Think I'll blast one of the those vuvuzela horns and wake them up:wah:

This new "upgrade". I saw nothing wrong with the old look, now I'm having a few problems. My gramps was always yellin at me " dammit boy, quit fixin wut ain't broke". Dad used to say the same thing, only in a different way sometimes.

Once, my family all went to town, leaving me home alone to punish me for breaking a window. We had a record player. The kind you could stack records on and it would automatically drop each one in turn. For some reason it would drop more than one. My 8 year old mind told me "you kin fix this, boy". Well, when the family returned from town, they found me sitting on the living room floor furiously trying to get all it's parts back the way they came out. Dad didn't say much. just took off his belt.

Dad was firm but not overly so. He had his soft moments too. In those days, most kids got a thrashing once on a while. Didn't hurt us if done in moderation.

The heat pissed me off! The thermometer in the shade in our garden registered over 90 F ffs! Hey, this is England you swamp rats! Not the blinkin Sahara! It certainly saps your strength. It's going to be over 60 F overnight, then same thing again tomorrow. But it's hotter in London and the South East of England.

Also England was robbed of a goal, which must have upset them psychologically at a time when they would have been 2 - 2 ! They were beaten 4 - 1 by Germany.

We've moved our car out of sight of our house so it's not on a through route from the pub to the housing estate. There must be one or two angry England supporters who will wend their drunken way home tonight! :-5:-5:-5

Oh, I am so ticked off....Fencers were supposed to arrive at 9 AM to remove my old fence and install a new one. It's noon, and they're still not here:thinking:

We're supposed to have heavy rain and lightning at 4 PM.

I've wasted my whole morning waiting for these buggers. I even got up at 5:30 AM to do some yardwork before they arrived.....damn....

We'll they've just arrived now, with no apology and the wrong fence.

Now, they have to come back tomorrow with the right fence, and hopefully a better attitude.

Thank you Odie,

What really annoys me is that now I'm a day delayed to start some other things in my home before this weekend when my company arrives. The fence guy is blaming the company where he picked up the fence. On their invoice it said a 6" fence, but it clearly said a 4" fence on my permit and the estimate from Home Depot.

The fence guy did not double check the information and didn't even know that he needed to pick up a 4" fence:confused:

I feel your pain KE, there is no excuse for incompetence in today's market, where jobs are scarce!!! When I was younger & stronger, I was able to do almost anything myself, & did not have to wait for or rely on others to do a job for me. But now times have change, as many times, I have to "have it done", sometimes unknowingly by incompetent dufuses!!! That just galls me to no end!!!

Thank you Cars:-6

It's very frustrating for me to have spent tons of $ on my shack at the beach because I'm not handy.

It's not the material that's so expensive, it's the handymen who charge tons of money:(, and when they act as though it isn't their fault that they made a mistake it irks me.

This flippin guy is wasting 2 of my days before the holiday:mad:

Sometimes, somebody needs an ear to listen to them and a shoulder for them to cry on. Somebody they can trust. We are happy to do this, even though there is a lot of stress. If we can make things a little more bearable for somebody who is finding life so damn tough at the moment, then we will try to do that.
