Truth be told, KE called me last Sunday & informed me that I was banned for a week...I howled witth laughter..didn't bother me in the slightest. Sshe was very upset but I just laughed it off...as in "what are you gonna do"? Big freegin deal. No sweat off my back, besides I'm on holiday for all this week.

Without nitpicking, I do hope all reports are dealt with and not just those reports where the reporter was the target. It's been said that mods aren't parents and we aren't children, so we should all be grown up enough to deal with stuff online. However, until you develop the thich skin needed, a lot of people find that they open up more on the internet than they do in real life and so get tremendously hurt when someone closes in for the kill and stabs them repeatedly in the back.

Sorry for all the mixed metaphors or munched up cliches or whatever. From experience (not on FG) I know how much it hurts when someone you considered a friend can turn on you and tell the world your secrets and say incredibly foul things about you. I also know we have lost some wonderful posters who always made me laugh, because of the foul things that were said to them. Pinky especially comes to mind. A lovely, funny, generous soul, she made me laugh and helped me when others refused their help, then left because someone couldn't abide her bright light and felt the need to dim it forever.

If you think someone is being harrassed/ bullied / treated unfairly, then I think you should report that post as the victim may be too upset to.

I think ALL reports should be dealt with and it shouldn't be considered 'reporting for reporting's sake' just because you don't happen to have been involved.

If I've got this wrong and mods DO deal with all reports, then I'm sorry to have brought it up, but I did feel it needed mentioning.

BTW, if you ever want to ban me, please let me know because I only seem to visit once every 3 weeks or so and I would hate to be banned and miss it! :wah: :p

Something's happened to G#Gill now??????? I really don't have a clue. But then I almost never did. Maybe the image shouldn't be the Titanic, Rapunzel, but rather, the iceberg. What you see happening in the front of FG is just the tip.. Most of the action is seething beneath the surface.

So - unmuddying the waters just for a moment... when I switched off my computer and went to bed last night I'd just posted in a thread by G#Gill's son, Fire - who was apparently angry that his mother had been upset in Forum Garden. He wasn't mincing his words, but then he's a loyal son, obviously, who felt he needed to defend his mum.

I had a quick look to see if I could find out what was going on, and found Gilly's most recent posts were about swine flu and football so I just posted a hug in there for Fire to give her.

This morning I find the thread has completely vanished. My post has vanished with it. I understand that G#Gill is in voluntary exile now. And I have a note on my profile page telling me that Fire has been banned.

I have figured out what's going in Fg...long time members are being nailed to the walls...oh darn, we feel that some stuff is completely off the wall and being posted and yeah we complain to deaf ears and who gets in trouble? we do...but holy christ if we post something undesirable...we get banned. I'm taking a vacation for a bit.
