I seriously urge you not to jump through the TV. TV's don't like being jumped through and refuse to work afterwards if you do.:sneaky:

It's difficult not to have a good day with Arabella. I am blessed to have a daughter with a gracious spirit. She loves hugs and cuddles, music, walking, and more, and she will amuse herself quite happily when I'm busy.

She can now not only climb the stairs, she can get herself down them. I'm still supervising her with that just in case. I have painted wooden stairs and I don't want her to take a fall. She carries her blanket, Blammy, which she had when she was born, with her everywhere and now she also carries her 'Baby' which I got her a few weeks ago. That's what she calls it - Baby. Her Mum reckons it's because its the same colour as her blanket.

We went to the park, Roundhay Park it's called. Leeds has a few of them. The first thing I pointed out to her were all these millions of tiny flies that hover in a mass over different spots of the lake. They fascinated her once I'd pointed them out. She wasn't so interested in the babies though she likes looking at the swans anyway. They are regal looking creatures. She had a laugh at the mallards. The drakes were flying in to skate along the surface of the water. (One nearly came a cropper!)

I let her lead the way through the woods and we came to an old gatehouse and we played around that for a while before heading back.

She has a nap every day though she never wants to at the time. I don't have a cot for her so I have to put her in my bed. I often have to lie with her until she goes off to sleep. Yesterday, she refused to go off to sleep so I got in bed too. I lay on my side and feigned sleep. She had a moan for a bit then seeing no response from me, she turned on her side, snuggled back into me and was asleep in seconds. I fell asleep too then. Looks like I need an afternoon nap too these days.

I'll have to find another way of getting her off though. I will be getting her her own bed as soon as I can and especially so I can have her to stay overnight. It'll be impractical for me to try the same trick to get her off to sleep.

The last two years have been a struggle for me financially and there's still a lot of things I need to get. I don't have a highchair for her for instance. We eat together with her sat on my lap. Very nice and cosy but a bit awkward. She's a character though. She'll put a bite in her mouth, and as it goes down she says, "Mmmmmm" appreciating the food. But she'll rub my belly, not hers. Sometimes, she feeds me.

I could go on for hours, Odie.

What have you been up to lately?

That was one of the pics I commented on was her and Bammy!----just so cute!

You really do have a special time with her, and that means so much at her young age.

there is nothing wrong that she sleeps with you for naps or even overnight........it will be so nice when she can spend more time and sleep overnight.

She's quite independent when she wants to be.

I'm always afraid that I might wake or hurt her if I let her sleep with me overnight. I don't know how much I move about when I'm sleeping.

For the afternoon nap, I usually lie on my back and I'm gone before she goes. On my back, I snore like mad and it wakes me up. I think it sends her off to sleep though.

It'll be a while before I have her to stay as I need other things besides.

I go from month to month and if the car or something else doesn't take my money, then I can get something towards what I need for her to stay.

It might just be that you have become acclimatised to your home nation, Fuzzy. I'm sure Africa is hotter still than Australia, and even more humid than the UK in places. On top of that, individuals vary in their degree of tolerance to temperature. Personally, I like it warm. I have no tolerance for the cold or the hot weather and it does affect my sleep pattern.
