Now Dr. Ess

I checked your profile and it says you are a writer. So you wouldn't be puttin' me on would you? If you are, it is okay. But if you are, please let me know.:D And if you aren't, please tell me what you are or how you are or if you are Dr. for real as you could be Dr. by honorary but I don't know if that really counts and I think I will end this post right about now:lips: Oh and by the way I am a girl, miriam, and I don't know how in the name of somebody I got that weird username other than I asked for it.....go figure:wah:

I mean no disrespect either. However, I've met doctorates and doctorates. Some were not worth the paper their degree was printed on.

This is not intended in any way to relect or refer to William. I have absolutely no idea who he is or his specialty. It is purely a statement of fact as I have experienced it.

Miriam is a nice name. There were many in the Bible including the mother of Jesus. We have a Jewish camp here on the island called "Camp Miriam".

WOW......interesting Ted

I'm feeling a lot better now. I didn't know my name had that many attachments. But then, I suppose it is a derivitive of Marie, Mary. Thank you.

Look at that. You rank among the famous. Notice I didn't use the term "rich and famous". Only you know that for sure. LOL

I obtained my credentials thanks to a bout of lenient generosity by the Cambridge examining board who probably had a quota of Doctorates to award. Since then and in my retirement I have turned my hand to writing with results that have been more successful than perhaps I deserve. The score at the moment is about twenty-five books although I lost count some time ago and have never read any of them. At one time you could have found me fairly regularly in the Times.

I do apologise for mistaking your person although is it not appropriate that the scope for confusion with Hebrew nouns should coincide with my faux-pas over the name Miriam and the gender of its holder? I saw the name Weber and presumed an association with the composer.

Ah Dr. Ess I wasn't chastising you or anything. I was just funnin' a little bit....perhaps I shouldn't have done that. Nobody much knows I am miriam so you really made no mistake.

I am quite honored to meet you Dr. Ess.

As to sexuality of God

I love God so very much, God who carried me through a time of desperation. God who was Father, Mother, Sister, Brother, Aunt, Uncle, Son, Daughter, Friend to me at a time when I had only Him, and He was all those things to me and more. I can only say He is I, as Jesus called Himself, I AM. There is no pronoun in human words to adequately define God.

I made the same mistake. That's the problem when we use pseudonyms.

Retired here as well. Still spend a lot of time in both formal and informal studies. I think I'm a perpetual student.

I know what you mean about support. Presently I am in a situation where I am getting blood tests weekly and seeing the doctor. Tomorrow another one and on Wed the Dr. All indications are that I am getting close to kidney failure. I have diabetes but do not yet know if it is a result of that.

Another speed bump on the road of liffe. I often remember the poem "Footprints".

I must say it is rather pleasant to be sitting here bashing away at the next book and interupting it every ten minutes to address the latest point raised in the debate.
