That sounds good, BR. TV news likes to make a scoop, and you intriqued them so they will help investigate. Let us know if they respond.

We are wishing you well, and Bullet, through all of this.

It can only bring attention to the situation. I'm wondering did this dead guy have friends in your town, are they rich, connected??? Could they have gotten to the Jury in any way.... Or am I thinking to much like John Grisham "Run away Jury"....:D

No, Carla....these are crack dealers living in the ghetto. Any money they have is drug money, and not a lot of that, I can assure you. This is simply a travesty of justice that I will fight to the bitter end to correct.

He turns himself in on Monday, and will sit in jail for 10 days till his sentencing, (on June 22nd) at which I hope to have the media and many, MANY letters of character reference. I will drown the judge and the system in glowing words about Matt and do whatever else it takes to make this thing right. (Some of you have received email from me regarding letters of reference. I appreciate the response so far, and I know I'm asking a lot of people who have never met the man, but thank you for your efforts thus far.)

For those of you who don't know, I'm BR's sister - not just Internet "sister", but flesh-and-blood we-share-parents sister. And let me tell you from LONG experience, a pissed-off BR is indeed a force to be reckoned with. If there is anything that can be done, she'll find it, and use it.

I'm working on a letter - don't you worry, I'm not going to let this one go without doing everything I can to help. You'll have it from me in a day or two, sis, and anything - anything - else I can do.

I thought my thread had been deleted...I forgot where I'd put it.

Tomorrow morning, Bullet goes to turn himself in. The lawyer is meeting us and is asking for a recess till noon or so, so that we can go have a meal and discuss options.

Our first option is appeal. The problem with that is, if an appeal with bond is granted and we can't come up with the amount of the bond, he sits in county jail till the appeal comes through. He would rather be in prison, than a county jail. Especially Wayne County. It's a horrible place. The thought of him being there even for the next 10 days makes my skin crawl.

On sentencing date, June 22nd, the lawyer is also going to ask for a sentence related to a lesser charge, which is in the judge's power to grant. The next 10 days are going to be a major bitch, as I won't be able to see or probably talk to him. But I will see him on the 22nd, regardless of what happens.

Right now he's visiting with his kids for the last time before he goes in. Damn guys, I am a total F-ing wreck. Putting on a brave front for him, though. My sister, Erinna (here) screwed that all up when we had our family dinner about 20 minutes ago. We all met up at Texas Roadhouse so Matt could have a big steak dinner, and my sister started bawling at the end. Dammit, E, that messed me all up!!

Anyway...that's the latest. Keep good thoughts, please, as you have been doing all along. I'm going to hang here with you all till he gets home.

Actually I thought you did damn good, as emotional as you normally are. No worries, he's going through something even tougher with his kids right now, and he'll be pretty messed up when he gets home. We're staying up all night long, not wasting any time with sleeping, and getting a ride from "Q" to the court in the morning.

Don't worry about it, you done good, and thanks for taking Josh home. Did he say anything of significance?

You know what, BR? I spent a half hour reading up on your local Senator, Barack Obama, and considering what role he performs in Illinois itself. I'll find better background information on more relevant local people and offices, I expect - but it struck me that though you might not agree, I thought a lot of him. Some people really do seem to go into politics for the public good.

I'm numb. Can't seem to feel a thing. I just took him in. A brother drove us down so I wouldn't have to drive after, and it's a good thing, too, because I don't remember the ride home. All I know is I'm home, and my other half is missing. Part of me is sitting in the jail cell with him. But, I may get to see him tomorrow. I went to the jail to get all the info I need to contact him, how to send him letters and such. As soon as I get his inmate number, I'll be able to send him letters. He hasn't been here in a long time, but I know some of you enjoyed interacting with him when he was, so if you care to write to him, let me know by PM, and I'll make sure you get the address.

I am going to be here a while, I need the company. Company that's around but not right here next to me.

Nomad, I'm glad you're back. FG would not have been anything like it was before if you had stayed away.

Luv you guys.

Ahh, thanks guys. What else can I do but cope? I have to be strong for him.

His daughter just called me, wanting details, and I had none to give her yet. I don't even have his inmate # for her to write to him yet. She sounded good, tough like me, and asked practical questions.

I told her that in the county jail, no one under 17 can visit him, but that he'd only be there for a few weeks, and she'd gone longer than that not seeing him. If he gets to Jackson, we have a brother from the Blue Angels who is a corrections officer there, so we're hoping that's where he ends up. Either there, or the 26 mile road facility, that is really close to us all.

I just slept for about 4 hours. An escape, I guess, chiken-sh!t as that is. I'm getting lots of character letters through email, some we took to the judge this morning. Those from here who are sending, thank you so much, and keep them coming. I want to drown the judge in them.

Get this: while we were sitting in the courtroom, waiting for them to take Matt into custody, the prosecutor walked in and SMILED at me. I said, "You're not actually smiling at ME are you?!?!?!!! Screw you", (only re-place "screw" for another word). Matt chided me, but I couldn't help myself.

When we left we went to the bank of elevators and he was there again. He got into an elevator and was holding the door for me. I said, "If you think I'm getting on that thing with you in there, you're as crazy as you are stupid."

This anger scares me. I want to hurt people. I don't know how I'm going to manage work tomorrow. But I have to try. I have to try and get some semblance of normalcy back in a life that is totally abnormal with Matt gone. I don't know how to be without him. How do you live with half of you missing?

BR, the first few days will be a blur. You will go through the motions of life, but not living it. It will start to focus again, but in another direction. You do go on with life, with half of you gone. Your man will return one day, and you will be there strong and waiting for him.

You will fade in and out with different feelings, BR. Just like for someone who has died, but different. Pain, grief, depression, etc. Denial is the worst phase. You cannot deny it has happened, but you will at first. You will learn to deal with it, as much as you possibly can. When you get through the blurry phase, go to the practical things that need done.

How do I keep the house going?

Taking care of the kids and family?

Being in touch with Bullet, visits, etc.

How do I juggle my work during this time?

Be practical when you can deal with this, and go through what needs to be done. Ask people to help you, when you cannot do something. If there is no help available for some things, learn to depend on yourself to get them done.

You will not remember all this now, but you will later on when you need it. I had to learn to live without half-for my husband is no longer what he was, but is almost like a child to take care of, but he is still mine and I love him. And I always will.

You always will too.

Come to me for advice when you can handle it, and your family is very supportive. And everyone here is also. We will help you, and every stage you go through.

I am sorry this is long, but I thought it was practical advice for you now. It is all said in love.:-4

There's my biker sister!!! Thanks, Pink. I'm just angry and the chance to lash out at the man who put him where he is was totally worthwhile. I didn't care about repurcussions. I hope that sick bastard rots in hell.

One thing he said that I plan on screaming long and loud about in his closing arguments, was that ANY 9mm clip can fit into ANY 9mm gun. That is just flat-out wrong, and false. The Glock that Slick had cannot fit into the magazine of the Kel-Tech Bullet had.

Bullet's trial was a farce. Can I get an AMEN?????

Pinky, honest, you reallyreally have to learn not to hold stuff in like that. C'mon, tell us what you really think.

Just call me gob-on-a-stick!:D
LOL...I wasn't complaining. Quite the contrary...I was about to offer to hold your coat :D

I'd call you a gob-on-a-stick but it doesn't sound very complimentary...:-3

chonsigirl wrote: BR, the first few days will be a blur.
