Got the children home from school. My daughter was ill at the end of last week, my son was under the weather all weekend. Felt guilty yesterday for sending him to school only to find out he'd had an upset stomach in the day. He's still got an upset stomach and I have been awake most of the night with griping stomach pains and a banging headache :(

I remember when mine were sick, I always kept them home from school, just knowing how they felt, I was a softy.

My son is 11 and my daughter is 6.

Mine have to have good reason to be allowed to stay off, but thats because my son had a habit of 'pretending' to be ill.

funny, when one of my sons was 11 he also tried that several times.

I'm very sore where they put the electrodes. They had to feed it thru muscle and stuff, and I didn't get much happy meds cuz I had to be able to tell them where I could feel the tingling in my back, rear and legs so they could adjust the settings. My appt was at 4....I got out of there at 7:45. It's hard to tell if it's helping my lower back and rear cuz of how bad it hurts in the center of my back from those damn electrodes.

Yeah, it's ridiculous...I never use anything that requires a pin #. I'd be too freaked out over people seeing it. Doesn't seem to matter anymore tho, people will figure out how to get your info.

Odie, what's the latest on your stolen money?

Spoke to my GP today who told me that the pain in my knee and the fact it gives way when straightned should last about 6 weeks and is in fact quite normal :-5 The hospital called no less than an hour later where an orthapedic nurse said this is not the norm and I will have to go back to hospital to see a consultant, they are going to try and get my appointment for next week :-5:-5

Must be the day for bad medical crap. My temporary unit in my back just suddenly stopped working. I've changed the batteries for both units. I'm afraid one of my electrodes came loose. I can't see them either, so I hafta wait til hubby gets home so he can check all the leads. :-5:-5:-5

Nothing in comparison to you two, but I've been sitting in my living room with a big thirst and sweating pints. It wasn't until I spoke to a friend and mentioned this in general chit chat when she suggested that may I have a temperature. So I've taken some Nurofen as instructed. :wah:

Yes Betty, sounds like a flu bug. Drink LOTS of liquids, wear cotton and cozy up in a cotton blanket and sweat it out...best thing for you. Keep in mind that you don't want to control your fever completely, it's what's fighting whatever infection you have. Feel better soon hun! :-6

well i applied for SSI yesterday. could be quite awhile. before i get a cort date. So sad that soooo many people have taken advatage of the system. That people who truly need help. It is a big DRAMA to get it:mad::mad:

Yes Mum :wah:;) Been on fire since last night, then started shivering this afternoon, not taken anything since last night as my stomach has been dodgy all day. Been keeping the fluids up though like a good girl. Me and my son have been fighting for the bathroom all afternoon, although he appears to be getting better now.

Did you get your electrodes sorted??

Did you get your electrodes sorted?? poor girl. try tea and toast. or warm apple juice deluted. I am a FIRM believer in HANDWASHING. Can't be too careful. Ginger tea sometimes settles the tummy. Yes and Shel, are you feeling better??

I've only had rice cakes and water today, with a bit of lemonade thrown in for sugar levels. I can't imagine drinking warm apple juice! We always stay clear of any fruit at all with upset stomachs.

Yes been lots of handwashing going on, along with cleaning the bathroom after every use - deep joy! :wah::wah:
