Gill.. is that marsden rock?:-3

Marsden Rock is situated on the coast road between the towns of Marsden and South Shields in Tyne and Wear, in the North East of England. There were once two rocks joined by an arch, but the arch collapsed in 1996, thus destroying this renowned rock feature. A year later, the remnants of the collapsed rock were declared to be dangerous, and was destroyed.

Looking down on Marsden Rock from up above, and seeing all the Gulls, Kittiwakes and Cormorants nesting there, you are sadly reminded by the flowers that are tied to a pole there that this is a popular place for people to commit suicide - if you are ever in despair please stop and think how precious life is, and that tomorrow WILL be a different day.

The lift close by takes you down to the beach front, via Smuggler Jack's seafood restaurant and bar. It was so pleasant having a meal and a drink there as we watched the odd boat sailing by, and sweetheart's passing on the beach.

Marsden Rock stands at over 100 feet high, and we spent a lovely couple of hours taking in the lovely scenery thereabouts.

I don't know who decided to have Easter early, but it's very irritating, how can you wear a pretty spring dress to church on Easter Sunday when it's gonna be so cold.:wah: Jacob's Easter outfit is short sleeved i guess he'll have to wear a coat until we get in the building.:wah:

Looks like it must be, but there was no title to the pic. I found it amongst the Sunderland pics ! I thought you would recognise it Kaz :)

I'm fine, thanks for asking. Hopefully you are too. :)

I've tried to identify this place, but I'm unable to do so - there was no place name on the picture, and it only said it was Scotland. There are quite a few islands in the lochs that have Manor houses/castles on them, but perhaps somebody who knows Scotland a little better than me can help out here?

Here are a few more pics of Scotland Hope - it really is a breath-taking place, whatever the season ! Have your sound on a little - there's some music to accompany the pics.

Just left click on the picture. You can also make it Full Screen once you have clicked on the picture.

Enjoy :D :-4

Hehehe yeah I know what you mean, most people associate Easter with the start of warmer weather, but sometimes here, like when we had the huge floods during a recent summer, the weather has a habit of arriving when you least expect it. Just one of those things you have to try and fit around I suppose as hard as it may be at times. :-6

Hi Chris, and everybody ---- hope you all had a good day :)

Yes the East Midlands (England) has received a weather warning for Saturday :-5

Normally I quite like snow, but this stuff will just be annoying, make everywhere slushy, then melt, having done it's job ! :(

Yep the Midlands does have a weather warning, but that has happened a few times the last few weeks, and besides a couple of hours one night it really wasn't that bad in my opinion. Still I'm hoping the warning this time is right - COME ON THE SNOW!! :-6
