Thinking about it, this could be a simple fact of the ex finding out that I'm at uni, the children don't offer up information easily about me as he always flies off the handle, bet thats what it is, and if so :wah:
Sounds like what we went thru with middle daughter...everytime she came home from her moms she was just nasty....And sorry to tell you this Betty, it usually doesn't get any better until the kids are outta the house. That's when we were finally able to relax and know that we didn't haffta mess with her anymore....I hope it doesn't take that long for you. :-4

What we did was tell our daughter that we don't want info on her mom's life, it's not our business. Then we told her that we wouldn't make her choose between us and her mom, that she didn't need to worry about that. It seemed to help.

Sigh... oh no. It's mainly just the boy, the ex has always maintained I don't have a connection with him, I didn't when he was born, 8 weeks prem and delivered by emergency ceasarian. Every sane person knows that it is quite common for bonding to take a while under those circumstances. We did bond eventually but the ex won't let it go.
Oh well, the evidence is that the children have settled into school brilliantly, they have been living with me 24/7 since August. Their school teacher meetings two weeks ago were the best ever!

Sometimes that happens as far as the bonding experience...it's different for everyone. It's so great that the kids are doing great in school...that's a reflection of you Betty. :-6

Well, hubby couldn't do it, so I finally did. I made the call to the police tonight about my stolen rings. I reached my limit. So, if they track down any leads and connect it to middle daughter, they will arrest her on felony theft. We're gonna try to get a picture from the place we bought the rings, and now we have a case number, so we're gonna go around to the pawn shops in the area and make sure they know it's been reported as stolen. The cop even called her and tried to let her come clean cuz then I would have dropped the whole thing, but she tried to blame her dad!!! my hubby!!! It was so funny cuz the cop rolled his eyes and shook his head at that one. We won't file a claim with insurance until we've exhausted all options. :-5:-5

fluffy cold stuff!
you have to shovel your driveway
you have to shovel your walkway and portch
salt your driveway, no not table salt!:yh_rotfl
special salt that melts the ice and snow....so you don't fall down on your head.:-5
and if you have a sidewalk in front of your house, it must be shovelled within 24 hours of any snow falling, so people don't slip and sue you!...it's true!
thank god we don't have a sidewalk here.......so much easier!

I'm not sure why she would blame her dad...isn't that sad? While the cop was talking to her on the phone he rolled his eyes AND shook his head. Hubby called the jewelry store today and they are going to check all their stores to see if anyone has that set. They are going to try to get us a picture too to take around to pawn shops. If they can't get those exact rings, which are 7yrs old, they are going to try to get the manufacturer to make one set. So we've gotta lot of things moving now, but I still really doubt I'll see my original rings again.

Well, I saw the doc today and he answered all my questions about this new treatment for pain. (yes Odie, he can get it done by the end of the year.:yh_rotfl) I go in Monday to do the trial....2 electrodes put in along my spine, one on each side, and they will be taped on and I'll have an exterior remote(doc said this could take 1-4hrs). If it seems to work, then I wait about a week to get the permanant unit put in. Two more electrodes up by my spine and an implanted control device, probably in my rear. There will be a remote for that one too, but I'll have everything inside and nothing hanging out. I'm praying this helps.:yh_pray

Right, it's bizarre, but I can use the remote to make the inside unit go up or down depending on pain levels, and also it can make the current from the electrodes move to different areas that might be feeling worse than usual.

Sticktly electrodes...you can always get pain meds as a supplement if needed. The electodes put out an interfering signal to the parts you tell it to...then it blocks the pain from reaching the brain receptors and makes it feel like a warm tingley feeling or sometimes it can feel like a massage.

I'm not sure if it's excitement, but of hope that I'll finally find something that will take away even just the smallest of my pain.
I try not to hope or get excited about things...then if it doesn't work then I'm not so down from it. If I'm expecting bad then anything positive coming out of it makes it like a huge happy surprise. Does that make sense?
