Yes, nice boots, Pam. I've got some, not as classy looking, more of the cowgirl type, but red. Maybe we could do a dancing act, with you-know-who in the middle. (TLW)

Dear Madam or Sir

The Lady Pamela has asked me to write to you to say that one is not amused by references to such distasteful abominations. And moreover, on account of the fact that you have sullied and corrupted the hithertoo innocent with said distasteful abomination wishes to dissociate herself and any brown cardigans currently in play or even not in play from this whole ugly mess. Her Ladyship bids you and Zapata good day and tlw.

Picking myself up off the floor, holding my sides, lest they burst with laughter (is that possible?), trying to think of a snappy come-back (is there one? Oh, Snappy Come-back, wherefore art thou?) Alas and alack, all I can think of is "Gotcha, TLW!"

I'll have you know, Lady Pammie, my name has recently been cleared. I have received apologies from around the world for those devilish accusations that were mindlessly and unjustly hurled at me. Ask anyone here, I am not, repeat not a sweater thief (cardi, sweater, what's in a name?).

I've decided against legal action for this debacle...instead, I will hold my head high and maintain my dignity. I shall escort the honourable tlw to a place of truth and integrity where he can grow and learn from a great teacher (me, in case you were wondering, though of course it was obvious it was me, who else could it be? No other great teachers around)

HUMPH!! I am girding my loins for battle. I am sharpening my wits (in case it turns out to be THAT kind of a battle, i.e. a battle of wits and half-wits,(no slur intended for the wittily challenged)I will go the extra mile, fight tooth-and-nail, come Hell or high water, leave no stone unturned, Hell hath no fury, etc., etc., to ensure that tlw gets a well-rounded education and a glimpse of how things are in the Western World, Wild, Wild, West, Go west, young man! And you too, TLW.

Thanks so much for askin'. It's right close to the T-Rex Allygator farm, close to Effie, suburb of DeVille, by way of the Paragon Casino at Marksville, which is a couple hours from where Jerry Lee Lewis lived when he was kinda close to Natchez. That's before he got to be a hot shot. A nother neighbor was Terry Bradshaw and Mickey Gilley or vice versey.

Dearest Theia - One is not amused by the shenanigans you evidently have planned for tlw under your august tutelage and in fact your july tutelage too. One is in fact aghast and appalled and even somewhat outraged.

One suggests that the abominable-beverage-coloured cardi is merely a red herring in the sardine tin of your dignity and even unmaintained will be on the nose in no time.

One had thought that there was only room for one Great Guru in this Garden and that this position was a spot already occupied, but if you wish to conduct our thread title up the proverbial mountain of the meaning of life, the universe, everything - fine! It will be moi who skis back down with tlw.

Pammie will not give up until she has thoroughly tarnished my character, my reputation, my very being. But am I bitter? No, Cars. I'm not. I'm not that sort of person...that's what makes me a great teacher and companion for tlw

He's here, snuggled up in my pink EWM cardi (that looks simply devine on me by the way).

I'll have you both know that TLW simply adores fluffy cardi's, he's currently twiddling with the pom poms and grinning.

He's having a break from all the bickering with you lot and basking in my peaceful energies, he will have a wonderful weekend with a restful soul such as me.

But, Theia, MY DEAR, he will need a sweater for when we travel to Iceland, therefore I'm taking knitting lessons so I can knit with my own humble (but capable) hands, out of the finely prepared Sottish wool that I have purchased, which is of a lovely magenta hue, a very warm and protective (if somewhat large and lopsided) cardigan. It will have lime-green buttons. I need you to measure him or better yet, send him here, please. (tlw)

I hate to tell you this, Betty, but tlw thinks you are me. My identical pink EWM cardi is currently lying on my table awaiting tlw's arrival. Poor dear lost direction on his way back from America and he inadvertently came to yours. I'll be down to pick him up...

Thank you Cars, I knew you would understand.

Zap, any chance you could knit me a cardi? I've been waiting over 2 years for a hand knitted cardi from two members here who have failed to fulfil their promises ( I won't name names but Arnold Layne and Unc, you know who you are). I love the idea of the lime green buttons...Betty will be very envious

Now Mrs, TLW begged me not to release him to you, he can't cope with your kind of educating!

Theia dear, I thought I could hear sniggering coming from B.B.'s direction at the words 'lime green' Does that mean she doesn't like the color or that she thinks it wouldn't go well with magenta? In answer to your lovely request, I'll be delighted to knit you something. It may start out as a sweater but there's no guarantee that it will end up as one!
