Listen...we all like a bargain. I just saw a product advertised on TV and googled the website of this product. On the search page, I came across this website:

The product I was interested in was on this website. So........I'm no longer interested.

I'm so cheap I once created a spousal conflict by insisting that .56 was too much for gas and refused to pull over, thinking it would go down to .54 somewhere along the road. I drove from Vancouver to Harrison Hotsprings on a low tank just to find out that the price was .56 everywhere. So we filled up in Harrison Hotsprings and didn't speak much for the rest of the weekend.

I'm so cheap I won't pay $5 for a car wash. I just wait until it rains and go out with a squeegee to scrub it down. (The house hose doesn't reach that far around the house from the tap) Rather pissed because we haven't had rain for 3 months and I had to finally break down and pay for a wash.

So, we set up donation boxes around the building for folks to drop off non perishables for our local food pantry. I went around emptying them yesterday and got stopped by a manager who said they'd been hoping to go through it first.:-2

Really? His people(making way less than him) are helping out their neighbors while he's picking up something free for his supper?

My horoscope for today: :wah:

December 06, 2012

Leo (7/23-8/22)

Learn the difference between being cheap and being thrifty today. One is a short-sighted and mean-hearted attempt to save money, the other is a wise and fair-minded way to keep from wasting what you've worked so hard for. Your money is yours to spend however you wish, but do not skimp on the wrong things. Being a bad tipper isn't going to get you further ahead on your savings goal -- but it might get you some poor service the next time you go back to the restaurant.

My horoscope for the day :wah:

April 21, 2013

Leo (7/23-8/22)

The more thrifty your past, the more extravagant your future can be. You need to stay on the cheapwagon a little bit longer if you want to be prepared for what's coming on the scene in the next few weeks. A big chunk of change will get you much closer to where you want to be. So for the time being, you still should watch what you buy, skip your usual extravagances, and go back to brown bagging it for lunch. You will be very grateful you tightened your belt.
