you know we talk about the price of gas going up. well most of the platforms in the gulf. TX and La are nat. gas. not oil. Hubby works on a nat. gas platforms. now nat. gas prices may go through the roof. but less likely oil.(Maybe as consumers we are paying for the damage??) but there is a lot of damage out there. Hubby has no clue when he'll go back out. But he is a mechanic. They will need him to get everything up and running again. This is a waiting game for us. He is still on the clock. But we have no clue for how long????

Oh great, and we have natural gas for heating, my hubs pension may be in trouble over this Wall St. crap and now I got some telemarketer calling me and asking who I'm voting for. Go Away........final answer:mad:

I'm an EMT and here comes another story of some teenage child driving a car drunk, speeding, and winds up hitting a tree head on and doesn't make it. What pee's me off about this is a young life is taken away because they feel immortal and there is nothing I can do but transport and wait for the parents to arrive :-5

I hear ya...........last year, right on my street, 17 year old, he was drunk and doing 150KM in a 30Km...............hit a tree, dead instantly!

That I had to read in the local paper that a home burnt to the ground. The people who owned the home were on vacation at the time. All the pets inside the home perished in the fire. The person who was "supposed" to be looking after the home and pets left a lit cigarette that fell from the ashtray to the floor :-5

we have not been away in years because we cannot find someone realible to come in and feed the cats etc.

We had a great girl, who works right at our vets, she used to mind them...........until I found out she was smoking in our house.............she said she wouldn't do it again........she had no idea we would be upset with it, but can I trust her?



If someone cannot go without a smoke for 30 minutes while minding cats, feeding them, cleaning litter, water, opening and closing blinds, bringing in mai, watering plants, playing with cats etc.............nope, not worth the risk.

I was taking my morning nap today and the trash truck came early and it woke me up:mad:
