If you mean the messages saying so-and-so have added you to their buddy list, the exact same message goes out whether you're adding to the buddy list or ignore list. I checked.

i dont use it but always explain to people why, its not that i dont like them, simply that i dont see the need for the buddy list

My wife is yelling at me. She buys cheese and crackers and rations each so that her last cracker will also have the last piece of cheese. I ate some crackers and now the whole system is screwed up.
