Is it eight days and counting now? Suppose it must be...

anyway, Betty and I went to Truro again and I did some brilliant navigation in the multi storey car park...we exited without a problem...

oh and we're not 100% sure about transporting the pasties if the weather is hot...we don't want to give the FG party food poisoning for the weekend. But the cream, jam and splits shouldn't prove a problem.

Thanks, Minks...we did discuss cool bags and ice packs...so much depends on when we can actually buy the pasties and, as Betty suggested, whether we consider buying them uncooked and frozen, or cooked and unfrozen...watch this space...:)

Me? Are you addressing me, Betty? That same lovely, warm. amusing, kind, wise, "too good for this world" lady who directed us from the multi story car park without so much as a hint of a wrong turn even though you kept pretending you didn't hear her clear, concise instructions? Shame on you, Betty...:sneaky:

I did my apprenticeship as a telecommunications engineer in London back in 1971. This pub is in one of the areas that I covered, but I never came across it. So, I shall be wanting to explore it too. We can explore it together. Another great thing is that Holborn isn't a tourist spot, although it is in the oldest part of London (The Square Mile as it's called).
