When I was running my gas stations, one of my biggest pet peeves was people that handed my crumpled up money or paid for $20 worth of gas with 20 $1 bills, all facing every which way! Or employees that dropped money in the safe facing every which way!

Hey - I had to count every one of those bills and get them ready to go to the bank. And you can bet they all had to be fronted and faced or the bank teller was reading ME the riot act!

As for current pet peeves - people that whine over stupid stuff (and I am really NOT talking about anything in the Garden) and 18 year olds who think that it is perfectly fine to argue loudly with 8 year olds. (And today is the FIRST day of Winter Break!)

He must've been asian. It's very important to them to save face.

I'm usually pretty tolerant with some of the crap I have to deal with from men in my line of work. I can usually handle them without too much fuss, after years of practice. Today, one got to me. His first question, without bothering to introduce himself, ask my name and never having laid eyes on me before was, "Are you married?" I said yes, of course, to which he replied, "Do you cheat?" My response was "Never." His comeback for that? Get this......"Do you cheat for money?" I "accidentally" spilled his 23 oz. pilsner of beer in his lap and then in my "rush" to clean it up knocked a full ashtray into his lap on top of the mess.

That really bugged me. The comment, not my reaction. The reaction was quite satisfying, and I'm sure drove my point home without further confusion about my loyalties.

Thats a fairly stupid thing to ask a woman. Im sure Ive said my fair share of stupid things to women in bars but I dont think that was ever one of them.
