Personally, I would think that right after a person states that they are upset and their husband is in the hospital is a bad time to get into an argument with them. I would also say that a little understanding is in order.

BR, you can bet that in light of the things going on in your life, if you were to say anything at all that even slightly upset me, I'd be sure to take it with a grain of salt considering your long history of wonderful discourse here.:o

Speaking of fluff, anybody ever had a fluffer-nutter. That's a childhood memory that lives with me today. I still have one from time to time.

On the "dogpile" or "gang" issue about turf (senior members vs. junior members), speaking from experience I can say as fact that it does happen. Thankfully, I can also say from personal experience that most of the senior and junior members here can learn from their mistakes and move forward in a positive way. Of course, there is always that infamous 10%....

I don't mean to single out or upset anyone, but just look at Post 83 through Post 89 in this very thread. And that's all I'm going to say, except... what the heck is "slagging"?
No disrespect taken, well I guess perhaps it looks that way doesn't it. I guess it is because we have had more issues with some new arrivals as they try and get their bearings. Generally after they settle in they are no longer new. Oh our oldies have had their fair share of clash's as well and you know generally it works out in the end. I think with the oldies we have learned when to stop, or we get a rap on the knuckles from our Admin staff as a warning. And us oldies have learned they mean business. Now some newbies continue to try and test the waters and some times it takes a couple attempts to get them on the right track, while others never get it and they either get banned or just vanish because we aren't what they came looking for. Really and truly what happens is the integrity of the board is presereved by early intervention and it isn't long before a newbie is an oldie.

No, bubblehead, you didn't ask for my PM or PM me. You took a shot in a thread here tonight telling someone to "go look for Babyriders posts, plenty of violations there"....did you think I wouldn't see that? YOU are the one continuing to "take swipes", not me. I tried to keep it priavte. YOU chose to drag it out into public.

I have no clue what you're babbling on about with the Call of the wild wolf thing, or about others getting involved. People here get involved or not as they see fit. Take your nonsense to someone who is even vaguely interested. I don't need anyone else getting involved where you're concerned, I can take you on with half my brain tied behind my back. IF that's what you're driving at. I don't speak your language, so I could be off on that one.

Just p!ss off, leave me alone, as I have asked you to do many times in the past. Find something else to amuse your feeble little brain. Leave me out of your insanity.

I know this has to stop someplace and it eventually will, BUT!!! Tricks, what you are doing is you are trying to instigate a fight. I had issues with someone calling down Raven. BR had issues with post counts. Both of us have made our points and it has been left in FG for discussion. I think you need to drop it and leave well enough alone. You have antagonized both BR and I enough.

Im guilty.

The other night I called koan an idiot. Obviously shes not an idiot, shes intelligent. I dont know if she was just pulling our strings but I had no right being demeaning to her. I wouldnt want someone calling me an idiot and look at all the stupid things I say.

I failed this time in my quest to be a better man. Ill try a different approach next time.

Im not happy with myself right now.

I wasted so many of my yrs in a drunken stupor I have to do double time to accomplish what Ive set out to do for my remaining days. When I fail I feel the setback. I have too much work to do to spend my time being hurtful to others.

It doesnt matter what they say or do, its my actions, how I react Im concerned with. Its a struggle.

It is part of being human, sometimes we react in anger or disgust or disbelief.

Nomad...I know you are being serious. We all face trials and tribulations throughout our lives and it's such a blessing when we can finally recognize them and know we have the power within ourselves, to make amends. For every step back you just have to take two steps forward. You're doing great!

Hugs to you my friend! :-4

Every failure is a lesson learnt. The passage below was written by Daisaku Ikeda, the president of the Buddhist society I belong to.

"It's foolish to be obsessed with past failures. And it's just as foolish to be self-satisfied with one's small achievements. Buddhism teaches that the present and the future are important, not the past. It teaches us a spirit of unceasing challenge to win over the present and advance ever toward the future. Those who neglect this spirit of continual striving steer their lives in a ruinous direction"

Theres wisdom in this, however our past is what teaches how to mold our future. Without previous lessons how do we know which path not to take next time.

I think he's telling us to LEARN from the past, but not too DWELL on it. Bad stuff from the past can poison the present and the future. Our life on earth is just a twinkling in the eye of the grand scheme of things. I've learnt from this and can honestly say that i am a different person from the miserable, bitter person I think I was 9 months ago. People at work are mystified at the change in me.....xxx
