in real life bullies dont back down when they are confronted they just go and get their mates and then their mates join in and start on you as well ,the best action you can hope to take in my opinion is to take the fun out of it for them so they get bored
when i was at school there was this much bigger boy called andy that used to keep beating me up and spitting on me ,if i walked down the hall he would kick me in the back sending me flying
my grandad told me i had to fight back so i did ,we had six or seven fights through the day until they were broken up and the gym teacher saw all his mates keep kicking me and joining in on andy's side i was getting a terrible beating
the gym teacher made us meet after school and we had a proper fight just me and this andy and he actually broke his hand hitting in the head so often
but i got a really good punch on him and blacked his eye
next day at school he had a massive shiner and i never had a mark on me i loads of lumps and bruises on me but they were covered by my hairline (yes i had hair then) and it was there for all to see i beat up andy , i never he pounded me but his black eye said different
but it never stopped the bullies all that happened is i got respect from the other victims and andy got his bully mates that were even bigger than him to start on me ... i figure the only way you cant lose a fight is not to get in one ...but its your call my friend
I was never one to just let it go when someone said they could whip me so I made them prove it. Some really could. One in particular was head and shoulders taller than me and he did a good job on me. Later on he got kicked off the football team for being too mean. He tackled a guy carrying the ball and he grabbed him by the throat and his helmet flew off and he flung him into a fence post. The guy got a concussion.
After college he bought a bar and named it The End Zone. Later got elected sheriff and got shot and killed in the line of duty.

My main concern here is in knowing that bullying in today's world is not like bullying in yesterday's world. People die now.
Be very careful.

I was kind of being "bullied" il use that term in the loosest possible way.. when i started at work, every one had there groups of friends and i was the odd one out so they got me to do there work and made sly comments which upset me, but as soon as i started saying no and being arsey back with them, they started to treat me like everyone else.

"Why not just tell people I'm an alien from Mars. Tell them I eat live chickens and do a voodoo dance at midnight. They'll believe anything you say, because you're a reporter. But if I, Michael Jackson, were to say, 'I'm an alien from Mars and I eat live chickens and do a voodoo dance at midnight', people would say, 'Oh, man, that Michael Jackson is nuts. He's cracked up. You can't believe a damn word that comes out of his mouth.' " Michael Jackson
