Who put up there xmas decorations and why?

I did put my ones up outside, all my deer and stuff why it was still warm, did not want to freeze. When does everyone put up there tree? Do you get a real one? I put mine up thanksgiving night.

For me this year its not going to be about trees and lights and stockings or cozy fireplaces.

Its all about the loot. I want presents. Good ones !

My parents (well my mum) always tries to put her's up the first weekend in December.

I usually try and do the same, or at least on the the nights in the first week in December.

They come down on the twelth day after Christmas all except one bell in my parents house, it has been in the same place for nearly seventeen years now, in their old house it was up for almost fifteen, the story is they left it up one year by accident and just left it there for luck.

We have outside lights and neon xmas signs etc...Santa call here stick signs..

Inside its a 10 ft Microfibre optic tree that changes lots of colours and ceiling decorations, cards bloomin everywhere..We decorate the conservatory too with tinsel and garlands...

My two girls ( 9 and 8 ) have a barbie xmas tree in their bedroom and their decorations never come down lol...:wah::wah:

The tree and decorations go up no more than a week before Christmas and come down on Twelfth Night.

The pressies go under the tree on Christmas Eve.

Christmas is special, it wouldn't mean so much if it was too spread out.

We usually do the lights outside and the tree two weeks before Christmas and take it down on NY's Day. This year I'm going to see if the hubby will do it a little earlier for our grand-daughter's sake (that's my excuse and I'm stickin' to it) but the tree will wait. We are in Florida. We get a real tree. They can get a little dry and old if we put it up too early.

Wow. Holidays already.

my tree has been up almost two weeks already..just so we can enjoy it..i always take it down christmas day night...every year..

Really? I don't know if I could do that. I just enjoy the time of year so much I would think it would be depressing to take it down so soon. Well, I guess it's not if you put it up so early. Guess it all has to do with tradition. I do it the way my mom did, her the way her mom did.
