How come we can type the word 'bastard' in full but cant type s h i t ?

Well bastard of course is a proper word, but most bastards are little 5hits

ForumGarden follows the lead of the Oxford English Dictionary in grading these terms. Bastard is held to be merely vulgar while the other word is, as an exclamation, coarse.

Lots of questions arrive in my head, some of them cause uproar, they are not intended too, i dont always understand why people get so upset about them. Contriversial questions are not always a bad thing, its how they are responded too that can make it go bad. I bet several other people here have thought the very same thing. In fact i think Neffy said earlier in the thread it had crossed her mind.

It was not my hope that anyone would fill the thread with swear words but you can never tell how people will react to a question. I apologize Spot if this turns into a (i know better swear words than you thing) I thought an interesting debate may have come of it, it seems silly to me that some words are much more offensive than 5hit & yet tolerated.
