Looks like an interesting forum with lots of variety. I'm 41 and live in the NYC area. I love to read, so I'll definitely be checking out the books section.

Thanks for the welcomes!

Marie, I read mostly fiction, usually novels or short stories, but I like nonfiction too. You're from Western NY, anywhere near Binghamton? I went to college there. Nice place especially this time of year. And I have family near there too. Oops, never mind, saw your profile & it says Rochester. Some of the people I went to college with were from there.

Depends on which definition of the city, which in the 5 boroughs, means Manhattan. I've worked there since 1991, but did some temp work from 1985 on.

If we're talking the 5 boroughs, most of my life. Born in Queens, lived in Brooklyn 'til the age of 10, then moved to Staten Island.

Neffy & Minks, yeah, I would easily spend my paycheck in a bookstore!

WonderWendy, I saw your "Great Hera, did I leave the iron on" signature this weekend & it cracked me up everytime I saw it.

Lol Zinky, :D There are so many of us. When I saw the user name Lisa wasn't available, I just went for one I thought would be.
