the best relationships as far as friends go is when you are alot alike , respect eachother, are truthful with eachother, and always have eachothers backs to the rest of the world, even if the other is wrong,,you still go to bat for them and then later in private chew theys ass out over what ever silly thing they were doing or saying.....a true friend is one you can call day or night and know they will bail you out no questions asked....and later give you the third degree and the moma lecture...if needed......:D

These are all important, so I'll add "empathy." The ability to put yourself into the other person's feelings.
