upon Tyne. For London, it might barely freeze. I'm a bit fed up with all the

Met's. warnings - this year is apparently the warmest since 1998, and the

warmest on record. When the forecasters start mentioning "bitterly cold" and

"-1" in the same breath, it's hard to keep a straight face!
