PARIS (AFP) - Some of the tastiest fruit and veg is no longer just for eating -- the ethical fashion industry has decided it has a place in your wardrobe too.
Sweet potatoes and pineapples were among the foods to make their way on to the catwalk of the Ethical Fashion Show, which was held here in the world's fashion capital, over the weekend.

I can't believe this crap...
There are people starving to death, and these people are incorporating food in their wardrobe. Unbelievable.

KS, I think you've missed the point a little, unless you are trying to be deadpan. Read on a bit in the article....

What food are you guys talking bout they want to turn into fuel. If it's corn, it's not the type of corn you'd wanna eat. You might break a tooth.

Around here they've converted a van to run on the chip fat left over from the local chip shops. It's cleaned and then used to power the vehicle....

Yea I"ve heard of cooking oil being cleaned and used in vehicles. I think it's a good idea on how to recycle oil products like that.

It's the whole point of it really,...
I can't see how someone would make a statement like that in society...I think it shows arrogance and unthoughtfulness. People are starving in the world, and to see someone walking by one as unfortunate wearing potatoe spuds is just inconceivable in my mind, i'm sorry. My opinion.
